The log book won't state if it has cup packs or not. You need to see the receipt from the original sale which is unlikely but worth asking for.
It looks like a nice car to be honest but if you really want the cup packs I'd look elsewhere. It's been up for sale for about a month now and mint...
I was going to look at this before I got my 182 is it from Redline performance? I'm pretty sure the wheels have been added after as they look darker than normal 182 cup wheels. Also it doesn't have the cup spoiler or splitter as stated in the advert! The bloke didn't seem to know much about the...
The problem is dealers/private owners don't even know what they're selling! When I was looking I came across so many cars which stated 'both cup packs' and didn't have either in some cases. Best to get some photos up and ppl can then comment on what you have :)
Very good read this is! It's answered most questions I had about ITB's. I imagine a large amount of the cost was spent on labour and mapping? I'd like to be able to fit all the kit myself but would always be worried about messing it up!
I looked at an 02 WRX but then realised it wasnt quick enough without throwing money at it. I'd still love an STI and I'll get one at some point but they're are so much more than WRX's!
I had some vibe components in my old car and they were great, cost around £50 but needed to be wired to an amp to get the full performance out of them.
I've also had loads of JBL parts over the past few years and its great for the money!
I've only owned my 182 for a couple of weeks and I've seen 3 other 182's so far. I think insurance is still too much for chavs to be buying these and hoofing it around town.
Someone put Civic Type R seats in a 106, just required cutting up the CTR and 106 frames and welding together. Personally I'd go for the evo seats they look a lot better than ones from a Subaru.
I thought as a precaution most people changed them at 36k rather than waiting for 72k? Mine was luckily done just over a year ago with about 46k on it.
I'm from Kenilworth only had my 182 for 5 days but I'm sure i'll see you all about at some point!
Collier my Clio knowledge isnt that great yet but I'm sure it'll get better with time :)
A few people on the MX5 forum have fitted them cheap rokkor coilovers and rate them highly for the money. Not sure how they'll perform on a Clio but worth a shot for the money.
Seems like it's hit or miss with these cars and people never look into the belts when buying and then get stung for it. I've only had my 182 a few days and it needs a new ABS ring but it's 6 years old so I'd expect some parts to be worn out.
In the next few months I'll be looking for an aftermarket exhaust as close to oem looks as possible. Also start replacing engine mounts, ARB etc just to tighten up the handling. I'm very impressed with how it is standard but theres always room for improvement!
- Only pic I have at the mo
Hello,
I'm not exactly new to the forum, I've been using a friends profile for weeks searching for a new car and I finally got one!
It's a Black 182 with both cup packs, 53k on the clock, FSH and belt change so exactly what I wanted.
I've not got any pics yet but will get some shortly...
