I take it you're referring to my recommendations not necessarily being off the shelf?? I was purely recommending what are my preferred products, regardless of where you get them from. If it makes you feel happier, I'll recommend my favourite off the shelf products that can be bought in Halfords...
There's no real definitive brand or specific products to recommend as everyone has their preferences. The only thing I would say is that you don't have to spend a fortune on detailing gear. Many people assume that by buying, say a £60 pot of wax it'll make there car look so much better than a...
Very little you can do to keep the car clean in this weather, although a couple of coats a good sealant or wax (I recommend Collinite or Finishkare) would help protect the finish and make it easier to clean when you do.
If you're doing a lot of miles then it's worth giving the arches and...
Well I didn't get anything for Xmas detail related so treated myself anyway from Shinearama! lol
Got some Dodo Juice Tarmalade, fancies some Bilt-Hamber Autobalm and needed another 5l bottle of Valet Pro snow foam.
If I was commuting by car or using either or mine regularly through winter, I'd definitely invest in some winter tyres. Simple as that.
For a lot of people they don't value the extra cost but I'm guessing a set of winter tyres lasts a reasonable amount of time/mileage so would last more than...
They animated the pod casts so it's probably those you're getting. They are still bloody funny but I wouldn't pay that for them.
As said, try looking for audiobooks. :)
Potentially on a car that has an MOT year to year they could check as the mileage is registered on the MOT.
The problem mainly comes down to if you crash to be honest as there's not really any other way they'd check it.
I actually have limited mileage on both my cars but that's because I...
Some like the Gordini, some don't I guess.
It's not subtle but I think the Twingo pulls off the Gordini styling more convincingly than the 200. Also with the white wheels it looks less of a collection of colours and finishes than with the OEM rims.
Haha if only mate.
Thing is I bought the Megane when I was 23 and paid it off over 4 years. Now because of that it doesn't cost me too much as I only tax it 6 months of the year, service and insure it. In the time I was paying for the Megane I owned a couple of cheap daily runners -
...and...
Haha I wouldn't go that far although I did read about the Renault UK Heritage place where they've stored certain models in carcoons to keep them mint. Not sure they have a Phase I 225, definitely an R26.R though.
I had considered it before I bought the Gordini but the problem is that for the mileage and condition of the Megane, I'd never get what it feels like it's worth to me. Also I love the Twingo, not the fastest car but a hell of a lot of fun.
I just love RenaultSport cars though. Could quite...
Not really but hey, why not? I love cars just don't get much of a chance to really use mine what with work and other commitments. But hey, all the time I can afford them and use them as and when, I will. :)
Thought I'd pop up an update of my cars. Gordini is over a year old now, so made a minor change. As much as I liked the alloys, not only are they hideously espensive, the stock tyres leave the rim exposed. Plus I think these suite the car better anyway.
Interior and side light...
I would bet at least......some money, that if you'd painted the bucket or wrapped it in carbon fibre most of the haters would go 'oh well done' and want to know how it's done. It's that snob value of laughing at a bucket in the engine bay...........a BUCKET!!
It's far from the worst idea in...
I couldn't agree more to be honest. Most people that buy the Gordini range will buy it for the leather seats and looks rather than because there is some heritage to it. For me it was both though, I took notice of the spec of the car and liked the fact that it had the Gordini name, even if it was...
As said it's a cosmetic change which is a bit of a shame but I considered it more of a homage to the Gordini brand of old rather than a follow up. Also, I'm far more a fan of the Twingo 133 Gordini than the Clio 200 Gordini. There are a list of small hatches now with stripes and lairy styling...
That's the Gordini 1.2 TCE, basically a Twingo GT but painted blue with stripes. Bit naff in my opinion.
That car above on the other hand..............is mine. And now looks like this -
Personally I think the Twingo 133 pulls off the Gordini look a bit better than the Clio 200. As...
Thanks mate, it's a much better camera than I'm used too. It's a Fujifilm Finepix S4000 so basically a bridge camera. Not quite up there with an SLR but I'm of the thinking it's down to the photographer rather than just the camera that makes a good photo. Not that I'm an especially good...
Yeah I think you have to apply in advance for a space on the track. Last month I'm pretty sure that Lotus Carlton was parked up along the track. :)
***Actually a different Lotus Carlton but still capable of being in the paddock ***
Haha awesome mate, must admit I'll spot a RenaultSport a mile off.
Although it was smaller than last months, I preferred the meet for it. Was a good day. :)
Today was the Goodwood Breakfast Meet for June. There were some amazing cars there and a nice variety as well. I took my new camera along so I'll let the pictures most of the talking, there's plenty of them!
We followed these two for part of the journey
Then these in the car park...
