Thanks guys, yeah the Gordini is an acquired taste all round to be honest.
Thing is they advertised the car as having silver with black inserts or silver with blue. Apart from the window tints and lower parts of the bumper, nothing on the car is really black so opted for silver. Considering...
Been lurking on her since 2004 when I owned my 172 just been too much of a tight ar$e to pay for a membership hahaha. Oh and Naith, don't forget you love the Gordini too! ;)
Here's some more cleanness just for you haha.
I always knew it was an acquired taste to be honest. I...
Well been lurking on here for years now and only just became a paid member. Anyway, thought I'd post up a few pics, possibly seen them on other forums but here are my cars.
2006 RenaultSport Megane 225, owned if from new. Was only ever intended as a weekend car but somehow ended up being...
Have to admit I'm not finding insurance too bad, pay £650 on my Megane and £350 on the Gordini Twingo.
Annoyingly though, I had some muppet scrape my old Lupo and claimed it off his insurance. Didn't put the policies up but my Megane's would have been £100 cheaper without the claim on my...
Yeah but the thing is, if someone is close enough to hit your car and not just mirror, then they're not going to protect your car.
I'd personally rather they were folder in to minimise the risk of them being clipped.
Sadly no way of stopping some careless scummer from hitting your car...
Is it a PCI card mate? I had one in my old XP machine and it worked fine although they did sell me an illegal copy of the software with it and that was from e-bay.
Do you have an XP or Vista machine as I haven't found a Vista compatible internal card. I've got a USB one but the software just...
I'm sure someone will be able to confirm this.
If I'm making a claim on my insurance, am I legally entitled to take it to a bodyshop of my choice?
As some of you may have seen on my other post, some tw*t hit me and I've put the claim in to the insurers. They recommended a local bodyshop...
I'd be inclined to contact the water board for that area and have a word mate. Surely they'd be responsible for damage caused by their water main bursting and damaging your car.
Either way, good luck with it mate.
As above, all the kit was spot on in my 172 ff.
My ex bought a 182 Cup and to be honest the interior let it down and in thats part the reason she got a bit fed up with it.
Keep it mate, by the sounds of it the car is spot on and you won't get a premium for that at the moment.
Get the work done and enjoy it mate. Gotta be done but would be so worth it. :)
That is the trouble with building a car thats all show and no go!!
But as for the loud cars being slow. I drive a Lupo with a 1.4 engine thats got a stainless system, new manifold and induction kit. Yeah its loud and a small engine but its not actually slow!! So I'm gonna stand by that...
Well having owned 4 Clios since passing my test it would seem that my current 1993 Clio RT will be going.
I've been using it as a runabout for the last year and a half or so and I felt it was time to move on. I picked up a rather tasty VW Lupo Sport with low miles and some tasty mods as...
Gutted for you mate!!
Unfortunately because cars are becoming harder to nick without the keys, these pikey little f*ckers are prepared to go to the lengths to get the keys.
For that reason I make sure that both keys I have as well as the missus' ones are kept safe at night and the spares...
Well I did log onto ClubLupo but it was playing up and wouldn't let me post!! lol
I'd imagine the ride is set up for comfort but with harder suspension and wider rims should do alright.
Sounds like if I went for a Lupo I wouldn't be picking a bad motor, which is encouraging. Guess I just...
Now if it was a Clio 182 or a Lupo GTI, I'd be all over the 182!! lol. Especially having owned a Clio 172 and loving it. Performance wise the 172/182 is in a different league.
But now I need something cheap to run as its a 2nd car alongside my Meg 225.
The only thing I'm finding is that...
I'm being a total girl about deciding what to replace my 93 Clio RT with.
I was initially in the market for spending about £2,500-£3,000 on a Clio but have kinda been swayed towards the VW Lupos.
I want a car with plenty of character and with the potential to look like a real Euro motor...
That is exactly the principle I've applied to my last two runabouts! You wouldn't have found a more mint Renault 5 than my 1.4 Campus and that was great, my Clio RT I have now has been great too. Only the usual wear and tear parts you'd expect.
I just want something newer and something I can...
Cheers guys.
Been looking around and there are some examples under 40k so obviously wear and tear round the car will be minimal but there's no examples that jump out at me.
Ideally would like a black 1.2 Dynamique, look smart and have plenty of creature comforts! :D
Right guys, would you part with £2-3k for a Clio with more than 50k on the clock?
I know Renault set the service intervals to 18k on the phase IIs and I know its cambelt changed at 5 years or 70k(?).
Question is, would you part with your cash for a 1.2 or 1.4 Clio with that many miles on...
Cheers guys.
I'd love to get a DCI Clio but they hold their value and ideally I want one with under 40k on the clock. I know the engine on a DCI will be solid for a lot longer but its the wear and tear on the rest of the car.
Also I'm thinking that unless I do 15k a year in it a DCI won't...
Ok guys, I'm looking to sell my 1993 Clio RT for something a little newer and having owned a 2001 Clio 1.2 and a 2003 Clio 172 I know another Clio is gonna be what I'm after.
Question is, should I go for a 1.2 or a 1.4? I've driven both they are both under £350 for insure too.
The 1.4 is...
My ex had a Rover 25 and the build quality felt sturdy enough but after 2 head gaskets within 38,000 miles I wouldn't touch a Rover/MG with someone elses barge pole I'm afraid.
Ny mum is the worst passenger even when I'm driving her little SportKa! lol
Took her for a spin in my old Clio 172 and had some bint in a Clio 1.2 revving and looking round at my car. So I nailed it off the lights, took it to 6k in 1st and 2nd, my mum was like 'ok ok thats enough' lol...
Someone actually did a roof chop on a MkII phase I Clio years back. Was a blue one in Max Power back in '98 or '99!!
Looks kinda cool, bet the back would look nice and wide.
If its gonna be outside you need a breathable cover not a water tight one.
If you buy one thats completely waterproof the moisture will gather underneath and sit on the bodywork.
Halfords sell Tyvek covers which allow water/moisture to evapourate through them. You can even cover it when...
Exactly as I do mate. I may only be leaving a £600 runabout but I park either by a wall or end space as far over as possible. So that if someone does park next to me, they are much less likely to dent my car with their door.
