My new baby, Carmel :) What do you guys think?
Plans:
Clay bar, machine polish and detail car!
Hopefully lower soon 50mmish not coilys,
Paint the wheels,
Uprated intercooler + remap i want 130 bhp from it if i lucky....
Will take a bit of time though as this car cost me a fair bit and so did...
HWould probably consider an uprated intercooler and and few other bits before the remap :) to really get some good power out of it :-) yeah that very much is tinker time ! As its a daily drive I would lower it to much perhaps 40mm all round. And white wheels as i think they look nice onthe blue...
Could be you're thermostat seal on the side of the head, htakr it off and inspect it. Just follow the wey bits till you find it. Take stuff off if you have to bud
That's most likely just crank case pressure mate. All cars have it. Check you're breather pipe ain't blocked it should go to the air filter from the back of the block
Hahah how much do peopple get out of these if there standard with a remap? I really want this car! can't wait till tomorrow, i've got the funds ready only thing is i have to wait 2 months 2 get my insurance down to the price i said. But it'll be worth it !
yeah well its 2200 if i pay it off in one, and i don't know why but around here the price seems to be pretty common. I shall keep looking. I'm 19 but i've only been driving 10 month, and i had a claim for a 2mph crash which the other car has claimed whiplash for.....IMPOSSIBLE other countries...
dci's are nice i think i'm going to get one!
Got an insurance quote i have to wait to months till i've been driving a year but its 2500 spread over the year :( which is crap. but affordable.
try regapping and cleaning you're spark plugs/or changing them + leads bet you it helps on idle.... i had very similar problems not a 1*2 though. but same concept.
sounds like what everyone else said that fuel was the issue !
Could be you have a sensor fault/ or a fault code! in which you're...
is that the sort of standard i should expect for a clio dci at that price?
i have 3000 ready to buy a new car however i can't find one, would consider a hatchback van too maybe a ford fiesta...
Plus i kinda don't want to get rid of it :P i think im attached to it lol! but i get what you boys mean... just a shame its a 1.2. if it was a 1.6 or so i'd have been happy to strip it and brace it and lower it for track day fun. But its too slow!!!!! bit faster after rebuilding the head lol...
old minis are fun. :) also my 1.2 clio is coming off the road as i'm getting a new car. so i've been thinking about having a little fun with it when its off the road.

as i was just saying...
it's true about the good things come to those who wait.!
and i was thinking of changing the running gear as well? i read a couple of blogs that said the front end was easy enough for all sport running gear? please correct if wrong
Thats a good point mate, its looking pretty smart now i've done a few touch ups on the body work, fitted 15inch alloys next to go on is the 172 spoiler.....
so me being my indecisive self can't decide what to do. keep the body work how it is... (i'll post more pictures soon) and work on...
Plans are changing vastly with the clio as the time for a car with better mpg is needed ! however don't want to loose my clio so its turning in to a bit of an off the road project....
anyone got anyideas, if i take it off the road, i want it to go fast so i'm think 172 conversion... should be...
awww sound bud just wondering like :) I don't think i could handle amateur racing! but track days would be fun.
Considering going for it and seeing what my i can get out my clio. you own duf right? cool car bud
I've seen quite lot of people on here building track/track days cars which aren't full on race cars but sorta a half way between, is there an amateur league they pay money to race in specifically for clios, or a people just building these cars for there own enjoyment and to see how fast they can...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
cheers mate, the lack of service history is a bit s**t. i bought it about 8 months ago and its been a decently daily drive. but i've seen a very nice vw polo near where I live for sale. so i'm thinking about shifting it and getting that.
just bought...
