Any ideas...
I've been under my car recently (its thirteen years old) and it showed me theres alot of rubber bushes that need replacing.... As anyone seen a decent kit around for all bushes at the front of the car. or is it just best to go to euro car parts or something similar?
maybe poly bushes, mk2 ph1...
Could bee sucking air mate, would cause it to rev high. Check seals all across ghe inlet, injectors spark plugs etc.... If you think youve found a leak spray brake cleaner over were you think it is and it should rev up :)
If not its probably idle control valve. If you've had parts of and itts...
Revs fine by the seems of it, I've drove it about 8 miles fine only done up to 3500 rpm but it had power and was smooth. Ht leads Nd spark plugs I Mau change as a matter of course tomorrow and see how it runs. The spark wasn't very good on when I checked it
I've just done my headgasket and cambelt however on idle it seems to be struggling to pull like a bit lumpy :s pretty much 100% the timing is spot on (its simple in these) and we checked it a billion times a tech from work.
Any ideas? the car is a d7f 1.2 clio 8 valve
Agreed to buy them now ;), ahaha i like wiring, and electronic so will be a little fun :) electric window conversion is on the long long long list of things to do as well!
1.2 8valve mk2 phase 1 clio v-reg (mine)

like the look of the bottom one, but not sure as to the connectors etc.
Or do I just go for it...
Same, then you find something you didn't even realise you wanted! I'm now thinking of converting to electric mirrors and windows ! (never crosser my mind before today whilst at the scrappy )
I work for cummins, when they spit a rod out the side, some of the bigger ones 19litre plus will carry on running with a whole in the block.... now thats powerful
airbag service light is annoying..... and errr yeah that should work, run it first though and see if you can tell its the alternator just by listening.
maybe test the output with a multi meter if you can get your're hands on one. and if its damaged its a 20 min job to put a new one in max. at...
Probably just you're alternator belt rubbing, easy to change if it snaps. plus you can get an alternator from the scrappy if needs be mate. If the cambelt as been done, recently or well within the last 5 years/ however many miles it is, then it'll be fine. snapped alternator belt/auxillary belt...
New wheels on my car, pretty happy with them as they look tidy.... plans have changed with the car as at the moment I'm just getting the car too look smart and have good paint work. Back tracking? yes maybe a little but things change :)
Here is the head after its been rebuilt, torqued and the...
Stunning car mate, sorry to here such a terrible thing I lost a friend in a car accident its horrible. Definitely makes you think twice about driving dangerously or aggressively.
All credit to you and you're son, the car is great.
New wheels for the car. decided on these over the 172 wheels. picking up and fitting them tomorrow. quite looking forward to that.
Then to get the engine timed up and put back together! busy day tomorrow. lets hop it doesn't rain too bad tomorrow! will post photos of the engine going back...
Yeah f**k it, doing bare work on the car at the moment mate. top half of engine rebuild, removing a few patches of rust, new wheels, colour coding...... so much work
I've got the paint mate, bit unhappy that my 632 can has a darker pearl than the 632 on my car ! what a nightmare, might not be too noticeable though. Did you sand them down?
