nice car mate get some more piccys up

chuff me only had the 182 two weeks and hey presto first problem,i was getting onto the motorway earlier went to accelerate and there was nothing as though it was fuel starvation then it took off then started to die again managed to get off the motorway and a warning light came on at the bottom...

just a quickee,when the esp light is on,which does it determine on or off. cheers steve

5k mate,the 182 was up at 9k,my old motor is up for 6k but it needed a lot of work doing to it.

just gone from a phase1 172 to a 182 got 4k for it part ex,was a cracking car,but the 182 is better,seats dont look as good though.

thanks for the replys,basically its a bit worn you cant see 1st and nearly 2nd gear on the top just thought ide replace the whole gear knob,not too sure now though,can you just replace the silver cap thats shows the gears.

does that mean it screws off then,cheers edde. steve

just a quickie,how do get the gear knob off my 182 is it screwed on or carn,t you remove them ive tried un screwing it and its friggin solid. cheers steve.

thats what i thought fubur,thing is when i put my ear actually on the engine say from the pulley side you get to roughly the middle renaultsport logo on the intake manifold and it becomes very much more noticable.

anyone any idea on this one its defo coming from inside the top end of the engine,it started while i was just stood still in traffic and is more noticable when the car is revved or actually moving,its like a cam belt whine thats to tight but its not the belts or pulleys like i say its in the...

not much difference i know,but thinking about chopping my phase1 172 for a 172cup its a y reg 2001 32,000 miles on the clock oydesey blue but no service history although it is up to date on services,basically do you think,say if i took 2 grand plus my car i'de pick one up.

whoops got it wrong its £385 and six hours labour involved ,its a renault specialist low side of renault dixon on wakefield road barnsley.

just been qouted £325 for both of these changing on my phase1 172,is this a fair price its not a dealer just a renault specialist,if not what would you call a good price.

what about oydessy blue never seen one yet in my area seen a red one though,me thinks ph1 172s are rare anyway.

looks mint matey wish mine was silver somtimes instead of oydessy blue mind them silver 2.0 side strips are better by miles but still prefer mi ol phase 1.

if its decent milage full service history it will fetch good money after all they are quite rare in black lol quite rare anyway.

30,070 phase1 172 and must say enjoying every minute of it.

just over 90 in 3rd and touches 120 in 4th phase1 172.

i was thinking alternator matey,but the aux belt goes round allsorts so bit baffled any one any other ideas,cheers.

any ideas,started the other day its a noise like interferance through the radio a whizzing sort of noise when i rev the car it gets louder but now its noticable on tickover any ideas,the cars a phase1 172.

nice mate same colour as mine,never seen another blue phase1 172 round my way either.
