It is supposed to be clipped to something, but not sure what and is then just meant to hang free to drain with out getting into contact with anything as it passes fluid. But if it is not connected to the batt then rip it out, it's not needed and comes out very easily
the smaller relays in the engine bay, fella. Failing that probably an immobilisers issue
If you need some relays give me a shout, I know im not round the corner but you know where I live and not a million miles away
This has disaster written all over it.
The nut is left loose for the pulley to turn freely. fit belt, tension up then torque up nut, then check tension again
Im guessing you dont have the proper timing tools either to be asking this question
Nice project, just read threw every page. One question, who made up the brackets for the supercharger and what sort of money are they? Got a spare engine lying around and is rather tempting
Economically money wise its only worth fixing if you can do it yourself or have someone do it at mates rates. Otherwise it just aint worth throwing the money at. What did you have the car up for sale for? Chances are it's going to cost more then 50% of the price to put it rite.
Theres things...
Nope, no leak on exhaust at all. Maybe the lambda being shot meaning it over fueling has killed the cat? Well thats what im thinking, got one on its way. Fingers crossed otherwise im stumped again
Rite car in question is a 172 ph1 on 74k. In for MOT today and has got me stumped on the emissions. Failed at first, new lambda fitted then passes everything but Lambda reading. The mechanic dosn't know what else to try and neither do I. Anyone had this problem in the past???
The kits are at a cut price from Renault too and dont think it's permanent, the last 3 I bought have been about £70 for the kit. As Mick says change the bloody thing, it isn't worth risking it. Too many people own these cars and dont maintain them properly. Mind you shouldn't complain as I then...
