Urgent help needed on MOT emissions. Calling all specialists

  172 cup
Rite car in question is a 172 ph1 on 74k. In for MOT today and has got me stumped on the emissions. Failed at first, new lambda fitted then passes everything but Lambda reading. The mechanic dosn't know what else to try and neither do I. Anyone had this problem in the past???

A lambda reading fail is usually a blow on the exhaust, and if it's a co fail usually a faulty lambda sensor, this is my own experience from been an mot tester, anyway hopes this helps

Nope, no leak on exhaust at all. Maybe the lambda being shot meaning it over fueling has killed the cat? Well thats what im thinking, got one on its way. Fingers crossed otherwise im stumped again

Well theres no missfire and it pulls strong. Think it's worth changing the CTS and MAP? Got a spare ones laying around anyway

For anyone else with this issue in the future a replacement cat solved the problem, was slightly blocked
