Has been suggested, but don't have the tools for soldering.
Considered replacing the flex, but removing the switch is an absolute b*stard. Have tried, even using a guide from Dyson, but I get the impression they would prefer you not to fix it and simply but a new one.
I have an electrical question for anyone who understands the working of amps, volts, etc.
My Dyson (DC04) has developed a snag in the power cable resulting in a severed earth wire. My thinking is to cut the damaged section out and join the wires using a two-core connector. Simple!
However...
A Clio Sport is technically speaking a 1.4. Using the term to describe a 2.0 RenaultSport can be a bit misleading.
For example, I have a Clio Sport (1.4) and when I gave a local garage my plate number to replace some two broken front suspension springs, I was told 18inch Clio springs would...
The sun roof on my old MK1 would leak at evey opportunity, always when going through a right-hand turn resulting in the passenger getting a thorough soaking. Now I have a MK2 with a sqeaky sunroof. I'm not sure which I prefer to be honest.
A properly awesome motor. If they ever make another Back to the Future film, they should ditch the Delorian and use a Vee.
My only gripe however is that the wheels are not flush to the wheel arches which looks a bit funny. Has anyone added spacers to theirs to fix this, or is it simply not...
I believe MikeTs vee runs 4-500bhp depending on boost with about 8-9 seconds to reach 100MPH. It's currently up for sale over on v6.net and you can't help but smile at the list of mods he's posted.
So what's the art of driving to maximise fuel economy?
I’m facing a 200 mile roundtrip this weekend, a journey I usually make around once every couple of months in my 1.4 (8v). If I have the patience I will try and keep under the 3K rev limit at a steady 65-70MPH for the entire journey, other...
LOL, cracks me up when people like this are exposed for the world to laugh at. Has he really been banned? Couldn't we just have him stuffed and hung on the wall instead?
You say window(s), so I guess you're referring to both or can you isolate the noise to driver or passenger side? Have either of these been replaced recently? Have any of the panels been removed and replaced?
You should try a search as this has been covered to infinity and back again in the...
Not a car for everyday use then, in your opinion?
Next year I'll reach a very respectable age and will be rewarding myself with a drivers track day thrash-about. Not sure which option to go for yet, probably something which invloves Ferarri's and Aston's, but still have a few months to decide.
Back handers and bribery; a very bold claim. I guess you have inside knowledge of this to back it up?
I can't image anyone would by a car based on a magazine review alone, but Evos Fast Fleet section provides valuable information on the long term running costs associated with a wide range of...
I think in professional racing terms the Renault brand is now tainted and this exercise might be something to do with attracting new sponsors, particularly into F1, with the loss of ING.
Still a bit of a re-branding headache though, I mean if they renamed their sporty models ‘Gordini Clio’...
Quote from Joe Saward's F1 blog:
"Renault has announced that it is relaunching the Gordini name as a range of sporty cars. The first car to be given the Gordini treatment will be the Twingo with plans to follow up with the Megane and Clio. It is not clear what will happen to the current...
Hi
Was reading with interest the FAQ on V6 ownership over at v6clio.net. Under the ‘what’s annoying with the car’ thread is a mention about lack of storage space, however (and I quote):
“trips to IKEA for armchairs have been successfully made in V6s”.
I find this amazing; are there any...
