The creak is where the white cover that comes down the edge of the windscreen meets the dash just next to the tweeter. pad it out and you should notice it gone. mine was the same, and its an amazing transformation
im not keen on the look of the edition 30's, too much colour on the bumpers. shame you cant get that engine in standard gti, then map it up to 300bhp as opposed to 240-260 on th standard ones
in the description he mentions nothing modification wise, just weights and passengers....but even with a remap 20-30bhp would the extra weight compensate? the clio driver did seem to be gunning it too. I must admit it does seem to be a quick golf
we'd have to see the R27 v R26, if the standard is only 1.5 secs slower, i think it would be a fun race. The megane must really struggle to put the power down or the extra weight is a problem, unless the 197 is just a better overall handling car? hmmm........ 172 cup v R26.......:S
Ive just been looking on youtube for 197's and R26's, and viewed both on fifth gear posts. The standard 197 lapped the same track as the R26 1.5 seconds slower. Over several laps thats quite a lot, but still thought it would be a lot slower due to suspension set up, bhp, and turbo. Wonder...
Both quotes include protected no claim and legal expenses. Not bothered about courtesy car as I can borrow a handful. With tesco it gave me the option on having £0 voluntary excess for both drivers. Thats why I posted the thread really, it seemed to good to be true. Glad ive saved the quote.
elaphant started getting out priced about 4 years ago by other companies. I have tried them and they offered me a 10 month deal???? then a cheaper 12 monther next time.....if my sums are right that 22 months, so i'd be stuck with them to keep getting full years no claims bonus each time....they...
The 172, 182, 197 is the power output from the 2.0 sport models. The higher the number the more power the car has. More power though some will tell you does not equal a faster car! to put it into perspective, if you are looking at the 1.4 engines the power output will either be 75 or 98(16valve)...
Ok, ive been with privilege insurance for the last 2 years and these years consisted of a 225 audi tt and now my 197. last years premium was £470 ish, this years renewal has gone up to £530 even though ive no claims or points. Ive just got a quote from tesco and they quoted me £328 with me,27...
