Hope that is the case. Gonna get it looked at after I finish work today.
This was all due to the stupid alligator teeth ramps at a school car park where I play football.
Hey guys,
Could anyone identify what I've broken from this image? It looks like the gearbox mounting bracket to me. Does it look broken or has it come loose?
When changing from first and second gear, my car vibrates a lot as well as sounding really loud.
Cheers,
Bash.
Spoke to Nick over at Pure Motorsport. He has the spacer bolt kit which are 15mm longer than the standard bolts but said they should fit without the spacers. They cost £10.
I'll let you guys know how I get on.
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll give pure motorsports a call in the morning and possibly renparts to see if I can get anything from them.
Would anyone know the exact size I'll need?
Hey Chaps,
I'm in need of some rear stub axle bolts for my 182 as they snapped when my mechanic removed them. Talking to Renault, it will take 2 weeks for me to get them as they're on back order.
Are there any alternatives I can use rather than having no car to drive :D?
Cheers!
I'm running an Alpine head unit with a Genesis Profile 2 Amp for my components. I think the amp provides enough power for my taste. I'm having some difficulties with the fibreglassing at the moment since it's my first time. Getting the fabric to attach is soo damn frustrating. Still planning to...
I didn't take any photos of getting the 6.5" in the doors mate but I can give an overview of what I did.
First I removed the door card. This was a pain as the door cards have this seal which is really strong and difficult to get off. I used a flat head screw driver to pry open the door card...
Installed 6.5" Focal K2 power 165KRX3 woofer's in the doors. Biggest ball ache ever!
Sound deadening and A-Pillar install for mids and highs coming over the next few weeks.
Just an update for other users searching for similar issues.
I replaced the crankshaft seal and dephaser pulley (got the complete timing kit replaced as it was due any way; including aux belt, water pump etc.) and the leak has stopped. The whine was due to the dephaser pulley.
I've uploaded an image and a video of the sound it makes. Having a proper look under the car this morning shows that the power steering whine and leak are two separate problems in my opinion. I've marked where the oil kinda sets before starting to drip. Ignore the oil marks on the drive, the one...
Hey Chaps,
I've noticed oil dripping just under the timing belt side of the engine and having a look under the car looks as though it is caked all over the place. The leak looks very watery and not as black. I've checked the engine oil and it appears to be fine.
Additionally, the steering...
Hey all,
New to the clio scene after purchasing a 2005 182 in a poor mechanical state that will be getting some TLC.
Not joining this site is just silly after googling all small issues brought up this site on google :D
Looking forward to being part of the err...crew, gang, family?
