I am taking the plunge and going for a ProSpeed, cardiff is pretty close to here, and the travel is being expensed. 3.5" rolled in... I will try and remember to get some pics.
Yozza my man, yes I am jet setting, 2 months in Barcelona. Looking forward to it. Good thing too as I had the world Sh¡tist day at work. As of now I am off...
Hope you are well. I will have to catch up soon, as I miss the next meet down this way.
I think it (the RS version) will. Dunno about the regualr ones though.
A guy at Renault said it may have a turbo, last I heard here, it was not going to have one. - Sorry if the debate on this is elsewhere.
Indeed. With so many more (it seems) 182s around, fewer and fewer people wave. I have to double-take now to see if I know the driver...
But no, no play for me in the 60 zone, in the 70 though I was ready. :)
I dont live down there I am afraid, I live in Swindon. I was in Worthing visiting...
Yeah, you should always wave. Primarily as then we know you are probably a cliosport member/forum user. I find some RS drivers dont even notice other RS cars
So remember always wave!

I havent got guts to push it with what happened to all the Cups last year lol.But how r u all finding your 182s in the wet?
Almost as good a ride as my mates mum, and she is pretty damn good.
My bro got caught recently on the way up from Cornwall. He was doing 94/95. The policeman said 1 or 2 more mph and it would have been more serious than 3 points/£60. I have my fingers crossed for you... I think the line is 26+ mph over the 70 limit.

imho....The 172 Cup is a cult icon of the 172.
The 182 Cup is a poor mans version of the 182.
Amen to that.
They should make the 182 much lighter and have meaner looking alloys. Maybe a carbon splitter! ;)
I guess you have to consider what you want in a car. If you want to take "the Granny" out, buy a mini ;). If you want the fastest car on the market for the price get the 182 with all the bits on it.

The Service Note that was issued to the dealers this week states that only 5W40 must be used in the Clio RS and Megane 225.. It does NOT say that using 10W40 in the 172 is ok.. (magnatec, etc)It does NOT specify any particular...
Couple of questions. I think I already do both of the above techniques, but just want to clarify. Double-clutching has been explained, put in neutral release clutch most of way, rev, switch into gear so if you get it right there is no jerk. Heel and toe though, is this when as you are braking...
I saw a non-cupped 182 today, no spoilers, no cup suspension or alloys. It looked strange, like a regular clio almost. I think the darker alloys and definitely the spoilers add character that you dont usually get from a Clio (except the 172 Cup - that looks the ticket with those alloys)
But...
Is that the survey where you cannot select the specific model? I personally think they should expand it so they have 182/172 etc...
As an aside, has anyone here applied for Top Gear tickets online and got them? I would be interested to hear how long you had to wait.
Yeah I got mine through the post. I had a phone call from Renault before that and I asked when it would be sent. The lady said it should be on its way. Days later, sure enough it appeared.
If you dont get one after a few weeks, phone up Renault and as where it is.
ok so I did the test... Locked the car (no 3 beeps this time) sat still for 3 minutes or so. Then I moved. The alarm sounded - I dont think passer-bys found it as amusing as I did that there was someone flailing around inside a car with the alarm sounding! :D
Now the strange thing... before...
What bollox. I am sorry to hear about the ticket. The permit holders parking signs up around here clearly state max wait 5 mins. So theres no way they could ticket you within the minute. I guess if it doesnt state that, then they can get you.
I have actually seen a warden wait 5 mins, so...
In the vein of the Tyres and now suspension queries, those of you with the CD changer, do you really know if you have the uprated speakers (as promised)???
One of my friends reckons he has not, and is getting Renault to look into it...
The plot thickens.
