Ignore the rank carpet! Anyway the question is if I want to put these on myself how difficult is it to remove old calipers/discs/pads and fit new. Ive never done...
Some advice needed. In the process of getting a BIG brake conversion (325mm discs with billet 4 pot calipers) and cos the pad pattern is obviously different to standard calipers Ive got to choose a new pad. If Ferodo DS2000 were available in this pattern Id get them without hesitation, but the...
Im thinking of respraying the whole valver and I want to get rid of my sunroof - Williams style! Its drastic I know but think about this:
1. I dont like the sun on my head - ever
2. I want to get rid of those bloody rattling blinds
3. Im trying to lighten the car - surely the sunroof and...
Just got the tip off from DVLA the next lot of auction plates are now listed. If youre after one or just after something to invest in there are some pretty low reserves there for some plates like T74CEY or BAD63R (Tracey or Badger) address...

Attention all members: I have just posted a quick questionnaire on the meetings & events forum. Please give your opinions as soon as you can (even if youre not sure you are interested), the details of the 2003 Cliosport trip to Europe are being thrashed out very soon and we need something...

Right next item - Im looking at a 6 point bolt-in cage, all the big manufacturers do them for the phase 1 Clio, OMP, Sparco, Safety Devices etc. But the question is what sort of a job is it to fit a 6 point cage. Assuming all the rear will be stripped out, what else needs to be moved? Are they...
Im thinking about putting a pair of buckets in my Clio once its back on the road again, has anyone put say Cobra fixed race seats in a 16v or Williams? Can you get a proper tailored subframe and does it mount really low in the car or does it sit at the same height as the standard seats? And how...
Theres only one word for BBs new Clio Turbo - mental! For those of you who dont know, its a turbo conversion of the F7P 1.8 16v lump, out of the Clio 16v. There are two versions, firstly, low pressure which is done to a standard engine and will put out around 200bhp max. The second version is...

opinions please - which 17" wheels would look better on a lowered Clio 16v - OZ Superleggera or OZ Chrono Evo (the old school 5 spoke motorsport style). BTW Can anyone mock up a picture on Photoshop or something? Heres the pics anyway.

Need opinions on these two styles on my 16v. Which is wickeder? Anyone got a picture of a valver on either of these wheels? Chronos would be appreciated, cos you dont see a lot of them around.
So whos got the video footage or pictures of my interview with Vicki? I need to transcribe the interview, I think Ive got most of it written down but there were bits which werent on the script so to speak.

I want some light but big wheels, light as factory 15s but big enough for at least 300mm discs.
So someone explain to me what a magnesium wheel is, can it just be used as a normal road wheel or is there some drawback to using a mag wheel for every condition on the road or track? Apart from...
As the header says, has anyone got the picture of the engine bay of the turbo Clio that BB built and brought down to Southend last time? I need to have a look at it and I cannot find that picture that was doing the rounds...

Well Ive found a place selling the new Megane 2.0 turbo lumps already...about 90 just come over from France apparently direct from the Renault test bench. £900 + VAT - and yes, that includes the turbo. Dont know about the ECU or anything though.
So the question is, how would we get one to fit...
Can someone explain all the possible reasons for a backfire big enough to lift the bonnet and blow an airbox apart? Its a 1.8 16v, obviously multipoint injection, running fast road cams with slightly more overlap and duration than standard but not exactly wild - 264 degrees inlet and 256...
OK after a long, long wait, the BMC CDA (carbon dynamic airbox) has finally arrived from Italy. Matt C already has his plumbed in; his was designed for the 16v, except BMC omitted the crucial element - a means to connect it to the throttle body! He knew about this already and got a throttle body...
Help needed from anyone whos done a stripdown of a valver lump! Im about to hook up a carbon airbox in place of the original, but Im gonna have the two breather pipes just hanging there instead of going into the back of the filter.
Now one of them I can see is the big pipe that comes from the...
Ive got an idea how to do it but not actually got the spanners out, but Id appreciate it if someone who has *done* the job could tell me if theres anything to watch out for. I cant really tell if the alternator will need to be disturbed or not. It looks like its basically taking the bonnet cross...
I know someone had this same problem a month or two ago but I cant remember who. Anyway it just started happening as I was on my way down from York tonight. At first I thought it was my imagination or Id gone over a bump in the road, but what happened was just for an instant the engine missed a...
