The throttle bodies do buzz/whistle and is not necessarliy a fault. Mainly noticable with the engine off / ignition on. If you have a warning light on, this would indicate a fault of some description and the fault would need to be diagnosed with a scanner or a Renault CLIP test.
Did you have genuine Renault pads and discs? After market ones are renowened for squealling.
You have also said "Had my brakes at the back replaced" suggesting someone else done the job, if so, take it back and complain.
It may be the motor in the door lock or it could be a broken wire in the conduit from the A post to the door. Really need to remove the door card and check to see if you are getting +12v and an earth to the motor when operating the central locking, this also swops polarity evertime you use the...
If the immobiliser light stay on permanently, this indicates a fault with the coded line signal from the UCH to the Injection computer. If it flashes about 4 times a second this would indicate a faulty key. Check the relays in the box in the N/S inner wing, remove them one at a time and check...
It's the self test for the instrument panel.
It can be used to view fuel tank contents, fuel consumption in litres per hour (engine running) and fault codes, useful for completely resetting the trip computer back to zero.
Exit fault finding and reset by pressing the trip reset button in the...

When and if you do replace the TDC sensor and loom, make sure you get the wires connected correctly. The wire colours are going to be different. Read the code on the old plug A & B and make sure you connect the wires to the new plug A & B, just dont join a yellow to yellow THEY WILL BE...
To do it properly, the glass needs to be removed. 2 Torx 20 screws to remove from each side, bit fiddly but can be done. You will then have access to the sun blind. It held in with 3 clips. Carefully unsnap each clip by moving the tags towards the front of the car. Remove the blind. The blind is...
Hi Steve.
Another great set.
Never been in a war zone and don't plan on doing so. You are a brave man doing a brilliant job. The images you have sent back really capture the atmosphere there and some of the shots of the locals seems to sum up their dispair and gratitude that our guys, including...
With great care. If you try too hard you may break the screen or the mounting block. The mirror, where it joins the mount, can be tapped lightly in an upward direction until it's free of the mount. They are quite a tight fit! Be gentle.
If you can apply your design in situ I would recommend you...
Just reset the trip computer.
Press and hold the button on the wiper switch.
Turn on the ignition.
Display goes into self test mode.
Press the button on the wiper switch to view tanks contents in litres, fuel consumption and finally the fault codes. TJDH or something like that.
Press the trip...
Thanks for sharing your solution to this problem.
You are spot on.
It may also be worth sticking a little bit of foam packaging on the battery to stop it falling out again. ;)
Had this problem on a Renault Safrane many years ago. Turned out to be a bad earth between the body and gearbox. On the clio, the earth lead is just below the battery box / N/S headlamp area and bolts onto the gearbox close to the clutch cable. Worth removing it, clean the surfaces and refit...
I know Renault parts are expensive but they should be able to find the correct part number for you. You may need to get some numbers off the ID sticker on the current alternator fitted to your 182 so they can identify the right part.
Have you tried Euro Parts?
This IS the solution!
Removed the gear lever consol, no tools required as it's just clipped in.
Took off both motors, 6mm socket to undo 2 screws each, removed the cover, 3 screws, examined the mixer flap drive to find it was badly cracked and opened up. Fixed a small jubilee type clip around...
I think this is a known issue but there is NO fix. Renault say this is due to the oxygen sensors not working when cold until they have warmed up (Via the internel heaters built into the up and down stream oxygen sensors.) The advice is to allow the engine to idle for at lease one minute before...
I've got the same problem and will be exploring this solution tomorrow morning.
I'll let you know if it works.

1. The cable may have snapped.
2. The cable may have dislodged from its mount on the seat frame.
3. A foriegn object (pen etc) has fallen into the seat runner, jammimg the mechanism.
1 & 2 require the seatback cover to be partially removed to gain access to the cable.
3. Visual inspection of...
It could be that they have accidently kicked the relay out. It's located in the passenger footwell below the glovebox area just where the passengers feet would have been. Look up underneath with a torch towards the back of the black box and check that the relay is pushed firmly home. You will see...
