    **Seriously check you mounts!**

Or even better, demand that after paying for the cost of the actual mount itself, Renault repair any associated damage at their own expense seeing as you specifically asked for this to be checked a number of times and each time they blew you off.

    Replacing Fog bulb

Yes, take the whole unit out using the screws on the front (only two of them are needed, the other is an aim adjuster), and on the back youll see what to do.

Original Clio 16v Brochure - scanned

Im putting together a library of valver and Willy brochures. That was the phase 1 and when I get hold of a phase 2 Ill scan that too. But youre all right, the first thing I thought when I saw the front cover was either those two are well gay or Ive inadvertently picked up one of my mums eighties...

    Clio 16v search

Yeah dont get caught out below 4 grand, valvers couldnt pull the skin off a rice pudding at that sort of revs.4500 to around 6500 is the real powerband, beyond 6500 theres power there but not a great deal, depends really on your cams/chip etc. On a standard car you wont need to hit 7k revs all...

    Number Plates

If you have a flashing blue LED tailpipe trim and a badly fitted neon kit where the bare tubes are all showing and the wires hanging down, if you get stopped they might not notice the slightly illegal logo in place of the EU sign on your plate? Just a thought. Ive never had any problem with my...

    200mph clio!!!!

To achieve 200mph in a Clio youd need to firstly look at around 500-600bhp for starters, weight of the car itself isnt really important as long as youve got enough straight that will give you time to accelerate. Then youd have to sort out the gearing to make the speed you want possible. Next up...

    200mph clio!!!!

haha I like questions like these. In theory, yes bigger wheels give you greater potential for top speed. In practice the bigger you go, the more mass, friction and circumference your wheels have needing greater power to get them up to speed and maintain it (Im really oversimplifying this btw)...

    Handling - Willy Vs 16v

LOL well when I saw 6 pages of this thread I ignored the whole lot and Ill just stick to the question. Im not gonna get technical, just tell you what I think. My own valvers had standard Renault suspension, then a mildly dropped Koni setup and currently a Gaz coilover set on softer than...

    Trolley Jacks and Mk1 Clio’s.

At the rear I put it under the joint where the trailing arm mounts to the chassis. I dont know what its called but its bloody strong. Move the rear wheel up and down, the bit where it pivots from, thats where you want to lift. At the front, Ive never been able to get a trolley jack far enough...

    FAO All Eagle F1 Users

Ive always run mine at least 34psi cos I dont like the lack of high speed stability at lower pressures. Theyve got a square enough cross section to not go bald in the middle at these kind of pressures as long as youre running a 40 profile or less.

    CDA, Viper or Maxogen

I dont know anything about the Maxogen. Viper seems OK but looks a bit airy fairy. CDA I used to use on my valver and it was without a doubt the only filter I ever used that i really rated.

    Williams Dimma On e-bay

LOL I bid £500 on it when it just went on. Ill never understand why people put crazy reserves on things like £7500. If thats the least hell take, its pointless putting it up for auction. Just put it in the paper or on Autotrader and see what happens. Having to go up to 7 and a half large before...

Points on my licence - insurance

In my experience, between 3 and 6 points doesnt affect your premium at all, although I imagine if I was 18 the story might be a bit different. Plus 3 points for speeding SP30 or like Ive got TS10 jumping a red light arent really considered major problems these days. Ben - everyone who gets a...

Fave Willy & Would you modify one

Willy 1 for the plaque, Willy 2 because it was a more modern car, Willy 3 for the better colour but definitely NOT for the sunroof. Whatever one I went for, mods would be restricted to mild engine and exhaust work, replacing the zorst for a stainless system like a Magnex and then just a K&N...

    Willy button on wing mirror

I just took mine out, drilled another hole underneath my cup mirrors and its ready to go back in again. Whether itll work again I dont know cos I had to cut the wires and rejoin them

    valver spoiler - 2 screws

Valvers and Willys have a tailgate with about a dozen holes across the top, arranged in 6 pairs if memory serves me right. There are clips that locate in these holes and then the spoiler snaps onto them. At each end there is a special clip with a bit for the screws to go through, giving a final...

    Nitrous Oxide Group Buy

haha a rekindling of interest in gas! Just to throw my tuppennys worth in, if you can wire a stereo with an amp in the boot, youll be able to hook up a nitrous system within a day. And as Ben also says, as long as its set up right, you can run it all day. The gas doesnt come cheap though, I...

Whats the average Valver owners age

LOL you youngsters must be bloody crazy paying all that money for insurance. I never paid that much. But then again all through my teens and early twenties I had a succession of sh*t cars culminating in a Metro Studio 2. My mates Fiat Fiorino van was quicker off the mark. Im gutted Im not the...
