going to an Autocross event tomorrow and the car will be on a stand (ye, an Autocross event is a bit of an odd place to have a car forum stand) so cleaned it today.
Since I bought my Clio, my lass has been talking about getting one for herself. Yes, we will have his and her's Clio's .
I looked on ebay and found this...
Just searched and it seems I am far from alone with the cruise control. I realise that isn't useful to this thread, but I had started writing this before I realised.
I might be wrong, but I would have thought that the range would depend on the 'instant consumption', i.e. if your current (not average) mpg drops because you floor it, the car can only assume you will be continuing at this current MPG and works out the range from there.
If not then it will...
I was in my m8's Yaris this morning so I was in hiding (very much in hiding), will be in my car tomorrow though.
I thought it was the one I saw at Croft on their stand. Do you know the lad's name? One of the lads there used to own a supercharged proton.
Spotted a nice Sport this morning, I think it may have been Monaco Blue so I presume a 172 (still new to Clio's so not 100% on deatils like this), but couldn't see the back bumper.
Had 5 spoke compomotives (or what looked like compomotives) on and a private plate K7 T**.
Looked really nice.
Shame to see a nice car in that state.
Some arse in a Civic tried to overtake me in a 30 zone (I will never know why as it was busy, we were coming to a set of lights and they were on red), but didn't spot a pedestrian island.
When he realised there was a pedestrian island, he decided to ram...
I had to take my other car to a garage with a pit last year (at the time I couldn't find another garage that would take it), but this year I was told on a local forum about a place that had a suitable (for my car) ramp, so took it there and all was fine.
If you are on any local forums with low...
I have recently bought a 172, my family wanted some comfort after my last (but still own) car so I didn't go for the Cup. Wasn't too bothered 172, or 182 when I bought (even looked at a 197), I just wanted a relatively low milege car that had been well looked after that looked nice.
Love the...
Well worth it, I have read through the different guides (not the posts, just the topics) and there's plenty of info about.
The tax disc holder is spot on as well, beats all of the chavvy ones I have had in the past hands down.
I've only had mine for a few weeks and I was also like a kid at christmans when I was waiting for it.
I didn't realise AAS had such a long waiting list, I knew they were good, but didn't think you'd have to wait that long. From what I have heard/seen, you'll not be dissapointed with AAS
Wheels look spot on.
I knew I recognised those windmills, they are the ones at Craghead aye?
Can I ask you to do me a HUGE favour???? Will you take me out in your car? I was thinking of getting these Coilovers, but I need to know my family won't be too upset by the hard ride.
I will come you...
The below is mainly curiousity so please feel free to ignore if you wish. :D
Does anyone have a graph for a forced induction clio (I have read through the thread, but pictures don't appear on my work PC)?
I searched through which graphs I could find when I first joined to see where people...
I have spotted a couple of threads where people have asked for photoshop requests, hopefully someone can help me.
I have a spare set of wheels, I am thinking that I might use them as winter wheels for the Clio so I can get snow tyres on them (It snows a lot where I live).
The two pics below...
Why would you care?
So I missed one part of a post, it isn't that much of a big deal is it? If it is then you care FAR too much about a forum :D Relax a bit, don't take the forum, or yourself so seriously.
Plus, my last post wasn't worded right, would you like some sort of apology...
The time spent in reading all of the posts equated to less time than it took to write the message, so only a few seconds wasted in replying just now. ;)
EVO 4 ones tilt, but I can only remember seeing red ones. The EVO 3 ones are really nice and tilt.
Have a look on evo321.com see if anyone wants to do a deal.
The garage i bought my 172 from paid £450 for the cam belt (inc tensioner kit) and aux belt (inc belt tensioner) change before i got the car.
They had to take it miles from the garage to get it done.
Also, it has a Janspeed CAT back exhaust. After doing a quick search on here, it seems they are reasonably well rated, so that's a bit of a bonus.
Managed to get a full cam belt (inc tensioners etc) and aux belt change in with the price. It has full history and has been well looked after (from...
Thanks again to all for the welcomes and the kind comments.
I have sent Geddes a PM about being on the north east list and I have subscribed to the latest meet thread. My lass works nights and we have 2 kids so I aint sure if i'll be able to make it.
Car will be ready to pick up from tomorrow afternoon, but I can't get there until Friday, so it'll be coming home with me on Friday. Will give it a good wash and get some decent photo's as soon as I can.
