Re: iphone appstore must haves?
Mocha VNC, I have the same issue. However it won't work here due to the Pix firewall (port 5900 and more locked down) and I don't fancy opening it up to test this, I'll sort it out tonight on my home PC first - VNC is far from secure.
Other way of testing it...
We use it here (unfortunately), recently managed to corrupt itself and needed a complete overhaul (major pain in the ass).
It does it's job, but I'd wait a while longer or speak with them directly as I recently went to one of their conventions and they gave word of a completely new system...
^I had Invisible Shield on my old one, complete b1tch to fit correctly and after a while dust got under the edges and it began to peel so I ripped it off.
Tough stuff and does the job, but it's not ideal. On this one I'm not bothering, prefer it to be scratched and get a new one on insurance...
Shouldn't really need a screen protector anyway you've got to really try if you want to scratch it, the bezel however I've managed to scratch already :)
BTW, Anybody noticed that the 3G model seems to 'lag' more than the old one when typing email/forum posting. I also think the screen is...
Well should be able to just search for "2gb flux capacitor", but here's the PC I have in my car. The flux capacitor gives it a whole heap more ability, can get like 150fps on Crysis in Ultra-High settings which is pretty damn awesome!
Edit, the bit you need it in the centre of the photo...
Ok...iPhone is officially the fking boll0cks!
Set this badboy up on exchange today via activesync after a bit of dicking around, and I gotta say I'm very impressed.
Did some tests and we counted 4 seconds from sending via Outlook 2003 on Exchange 2007 to it reaching the iPhone, pretty much...
^Indeed, but I'm still trying to decide whether to bother pushing these iPhones through for IT at work, one thing the iPhone still can't compete with the BBerry is the battery life, and the fact you can't enforce policy to the handsets.
BBerry still at this point IMO has the edge for business...
You can easily tell if your SIM is 3G by whipping it out of your phone and looking at the serial number on it, towards the end of the number it will say "DX3G" or similar.
According to O2 chances are if it's less than 3 years old it will have 3G. Benefits of London I guess, 3G everywhere :)...
Just to add to this, after 9 months you can if you wish reduce your tariff to the £35 a month package (or the woeful £30 suicide tariff), so you'd be paying £90 in all but with a shed load of texts and minutes.
Ok best thing about this I've discovered so far is how freaking loud it is compared to the iPhone V1.
All the apps (PhoneSaber) and music output through the loudspeaker MUCH better, no obvious distortion and it's now usable as a little MP3 jukebox where as the old one was too quiet IMO...
Scartch that, on your SIM it will say if it's 3G or not as it contains '3G' in the number on the SIM.
Seems my area is down currently, just checked on UK coverage checker on O2 website.
How annoying!
Right, what's the fking crack with this 3G. These tards didn't give me a 3G SIM and from what I can see my iPhone is currently only using EDGE.
Should they have given me a 3G card?!
