Ive got a 2000 172, 43k miles. Seats are fine, so is the gear knob and so is the rest of the interior. Only thing thats worn is the steering wheel. In need of some leather conditioner me thinks
Most important thing to check is to see if its had a new exhaust. They like to drop off at the 40k mile mark. Was warned about this and then at 40,200 miles, mine fell off. At 43k it should have been changed already.
Where do you buy your petrol from? NASA?? ;)
As has been said, 95 RON is fine, always use Optimax in mine though. I feel bad if I have to use 95 RON
Ive had 52 mpg from a 70 mile journey before. Driving like my grandmother. Got 45 mpg the other week from a 220 miles journey with the air con on all the time. Again, driving a bit like grandma
Driven 220 miles over the last couple of days, with the air con on virtually all the time (damn this weather, turns the car into an oven). And got 45mpg :)
Which isnt too bad!
Had a guy in a brand new golf GTi wave at me the other day, which confused me a little
I dont actively wave at other Renaultsport owners, but if they wave at me, Ill wave back
There will be no fiesta RS. Ford lost too much money (about £4k a car) on the focus RS and the same will happen with the fiesta RS if made. Not enough interest in the European market. Shame really.
As for the ST, just seems like a slower, slightly cheaper to own 182 to me. Looks nice, the...
They dont do these anymore do they?
About your rev limiter, its because its cold, I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago. Engine just needs time to warm up properly, then the limiter gets raised automatically to 7.2k :D
I quite enjoy being the passenger for some reason, letting someone else drive it. Would like to see it driven around with me out of the car, so I can see how sweet it looks
Only let people drive it if they are insured though (and if I trust them ;))
