I have been out in the Blue meggy 225 there beofre as I know the finance girl who drives it, Might be able to persuade her to let me have a drive of it tho!!:dead:
Im very disappointed with the way the exhausts are hidden away compared with the 182. They could have styled them like the new Civic or something without affecting the diffuser
I should be driving this very same car on Saturday mate. I saw it last Saturday but it didn't have plates on it at that point Did you also see the Red one at the Back of masters? As for the cost of a new 197 once it is specced up. I reckon It'd be better getting a used V6 for 19 or 20k as...
What dicks, I bet thay were gonna put your 182 bits on a standard clio as well. Shame these things happen. Lets us know if you hear about what conviction they get.
Interesting points. has anyone gone as far as trying to measure the temperature of the engine on each side of an open air filter? Might be worth rigging up a thermometer to see the moving temperatures under the bonnet. Anyone know of any good sites to bty digital thermometers to try this??
Excellent info, just one (probably stupid question) I realsie the likes of oils such as 5W/40 are intended for performance cars because of their better cold start efficency. But why is it not all cars use 5W/40 if it provides better starts from cold?
Saw that 197 in the flesh on Saturday down Masters wasn/t bad, but preferred the Red one they had. The Red is apparently the colour from the Nissan Micra!
Check it in the morning from cold. im sure it will be just below the maximum mark. I only personally press the reset button on the dash to check the level on my oil. Lazy i know
Anyone tried or fitted a thermometer under the bonnet to get a realistic view on engine temperatures? Im considering doing this to check how much heat soak my induction kit is suffering. If it is really bad, I may swap back to the box with panel filter.
:dapprove:
Yeah he did, I own it now!!!
The problems he had were to do with alignement. He was the first person to have one fitted from H&S so had to go back and keep getting it adjusted. Only minor trouble I have had it slight movement in the boxes, which I have sorted with extra mounts!

Not the easiest place to find on industrial estate of Basildon, but quality of work they do is second to none.:approve:
They were working on a Porsche 911 at the time I was there!
I reckon once the 197 is officially released, the 172/182's depreciation will reduce vastly, because I don't think the 197 is going to sell anything like the 172/182's have.
Im very happy with my H&S system. Mine is same as Steves. Maz I will post a pic or two of mine later so you get the feel of what they look like on an Arctic Blue 182 (in case it makes any difference!!) lol:D
I bought mine secong hand from a guy of the forum here. Had no trouble and am very...
