well i figure if i buy it back i have leathers, willy clocks and a engine and gearbox all still running sweet and a set of willy wheels, alarm, acoustic parcel shelf, exhaust and all the other bits and bobs. So i have every intention of buying it back - still gutted tho, no front panels only...

i normally get about 70-80 miles for a tenner, but the most i got from the car on a full tank was abiut 235 miles but this was all motoryway. just reset the counter and put a tenner in, mind you if i hammered it constantly i would get about 60 miles to the tenner - all town driving.

i hope too, but to be honest if they fix it, it will be major luck! but dependant on how much i get back i want another valver, so fingers crossed!

well thats good news, i have worked this out, £140 bonnet, £80 for 2 wings, £100 for a front bumper, paint and spray £500 max - i prey that they fix it, i will have to cough up the excess but i dont mind, small price to pay for the valver. I hope there is no internal damage as the car was...

dont rely on the oil gauge always use the dipstick, years ago my mate had a 19 16v, the oil level on the guage showed normal but there was no oil in the engine, he thrashed it and F*cked it!

i think torsion tuning do the GTT conversion for £1,500, that may be an option.

well i went to bristol 2 days ago and cruising at 100 the oil temp did not go over 110, i think the next time i change the rad i will do the oil cooler too, this might be better and after 10 years of use its gonna be a bit clogged up!

it seems to have settled a bit now, but just out of curiosity, my mate had a standard valver and this thing used to sit at 80 degrees and on caining it would just get to a 100, what is normal?
