If you follow the bonnet pull cable it goes into an elongated hole quite high up the passenger footwell. It goes through a rubber grommet which is enorous compared to the cable, however you will not get any thing like amp cable to go through the grommet. But dont dispare because if you pull...

ak_uk has a Hillpower Induction kit which has the duct work through to the offside fog light which has had to be taken out. Saw it at the RR Day, it looks good, and sounds good too. Would look better with the lower grill meshed and the fog light opening meshed too.
Forgot to say that all the speakers fit straight into the original mounts, so apart from the head everything looks original. Unless you look in the boot of course..LOL!

Eventually got the photos back from the chemist and they were awfull. Played about with them in Photoshop and made them a bit better so go and look and give me your coments.
My car is featured in the 172 Gallery too. Go and meet the wife who promply told me when I showed them too her that...
My boy has just collected his Bravo from the painters after having it smoothed and coded....looks nice, just waiting for his alloys now( 4 weeks from Italy apparantly) They are Premier Vehicle Services, Northampton. and they have just quoted £100+vat. They have had a couple of Golfs featured...
OOOoopps...just realised Ive posted this in the wrong forum...
Went into Renault today and they have quoted 175+vat. Still waiting for the CCTV people to get back, fingers crossed.
Dont suppose its worth claiming even though I have protected NCB as I guess they will put the premium up at...
Some t**t has scuffed the offside front of my bumper and almost knocked off the washer jet....still complete with ball!!!...while the car was parked along a street in town yesterday. Only noticed it this morning while the wife was getting the car out of the garage. It was in the end bay with...
Insurance companys arnt interested if you have a tracker installed, well mine wasnt. They only stipulated an immobilliser, although I have got plenty more than that!!!!
The trouble with Tracker is that you need to know it been nicked, contacted the police and got an incedent number and only...
I have a JL 10w6 in a box that is only .62cu/ft. It goes low...very low...rattles the car. Not that I drive it that hard though, not a bass head. Its also very punchy and tight, the best allrounder I think and its reference quality, expensive though, I paid £250 but good value on the rest of...
Just finished my install and taken the piccies, but not digital so will have to get them processed. Will be posting them on the site soon......
Alpine 7876 head, Directed 650 amp, MB Quart PSCs and JL W6.....sounds the monkeys nuts.
If you want some ideas, check out one of the new Max Power manuals...like a Haynes manual but for modding. They do one on ICE installing and fabricating. Ive only thumbed through it in my local Halfords store and thought it was really good showing you how to make those flashy glass fibre...
Apparently it is an interface box and a lead, so I found out today. The interface plugs into the socket of the display via a 15 pin Moolex plug and the lead, as you say, then plugs into the ISO. So the dash has to come out to gain access to the display. Bummer!
Have been quoted £35+vat to...
I have got all my ICE and need to get the dash out to fit the adapter lead to allow the remote to work.
Its the latest 172 but dont know for sure how it comes out. I have been told its only 3 screws...but which 3.
Also if I disconnect the airbag, andwhen I put it all back will the warning...
I too have pondered that question and thought velcro wouldnt work too well at a sudden stop from 40...it might join you in the front seat......with you in between the box and screen!!
Thought about attaching webbing, like seatbelt type material, to the underneath and clipping it to the loops...
Alpine do an interface lead for their heads for the remote but its expensive....£70!!!
Sony do one too for theirs at £40 and I think it connects to the display also.
Its OK, just as Mike said, but only OK.
If you want sound quality then Im affraid youll be dissapointed. "Rip it out " and replace it with a head and changer pack. You dont need magawatts of power for clarity and quality. No offense Mike.
