    Directed Install

ICEman: Do you think the seperate 4ch 500 and class D amp is the way to go or the 5ch DEI 650 at £249. I have posted on an audio board elsewhere and they say go with the 500 only...2 for the front and bridge 2 for the sub. Surely I would get better sub performance from a dedicated class D...

    Genesis 5ch in an install

I havent actually seen one but I intend on building my own sub box that hopefully will fit into the left void of the boot . The spare wheel is slightly offset to the right so should still have enough room to footprint the sub box. I was thinking about a false floor, but again, the spare is a...

    Sub boxs

I want to build my own box so as to use the space in the left of the boot but as most of you know its an odd shape. If I made an odd shaped box would it work as long as the volume (space in side) was OK for the sub. Also would an arse out sub work on any box, seems a shame to hide a nicely...

Alpine CDA-7876RB ....Opinions and advice please

I have found a better price than CEL. Try they have the Apline pack which includes the CDA-7876RB & CHA-624 for £449.99 (retail £675). They are in Leicester so they are quite close to me as £15 postage is more than my petrol money. I must say CEL are a good company and have been going...

Alpine CDA-7876RB ....Opinions and advice please

That all makes for a fantastic system Carl. Are you planning a UK sourced car or going the import route? I only ask as, if you are going import and are planning to fit an alarm you would be best to get the tweeters fitted at the same time, along with the adaptor lead to allow the remote...

Alpine CDA-7876RB ....Opinions and advice please

I spoke to Alpines technical department today and they told me that it wont work with anything else as Manufacturers try to keep you tied into their parts. They did say about a company that do interfaces, In Car Developments, so I contacted them too but they only do the link the way.

Every ice dealer ive spoken to has said the same, that it only works with OEM heads, I know they are all into new business but can they all be wrong. Has anybody got one of these Alpine heads units fitted and if so are they worth the money. I am upgrading and have been seduced by the look and the features it offers but would like to hear your opinions before I shell out. Also looking to fit the CHA-S624 changer and SPR-175A (front) and...

    Renault Autochanger

Yes it is an Alpine made changer but will ony work with the head unit that comes in the 172. I was told by cel-direct.com ( they advertise in all the mags) that there is a lead that can connect Sony aftermarket units so as BOTH the display and steering controls work, might be woth looking into.

    What size can I fit

I am going to upgrade the stereo and want to know what size speakers I can fit. I have had a look and both front and rear are 5" (13cm). Now the fronts look as though 6.5" (17cm) would fit but has anybody managed this without major mods. Also, what wattage speakers match to what wattage amp...

    Tweeter Fitting
