do the clios unlock themselves again if a door is open, might be a dodgy door wiring bit, check in the rubber bits between the door and the body for snapped wires
I bought a mk1 ph3 1.4 the other day, its completely stripped out and everything is working fine apart from the central locking and immobiliser.
Whenever i turn the car on i have to hold the locking button inside the car down for a certain number of light flashes, e.g. hold the button down for...
1.4 MK1 rapes everything in the world as a first car!!
mine was 1300 with mods declared before i even passed as well which wasnt too bad!
and yeh fiestas are stupid expensive to insure for what they are, not as bad as civics tho!
what the hel are you guys on about since when did the mk2 have a ph3 and when did it have a 16v that i would mention puttin a bonnet on from?
lol im talkin about mk1s!
and why would it matter if i changed the bonnet if it was rear lights lol
iv just bought one, havent picked it up yet but hes throwing in a dented ph1 bonnet and possible some lights with it as well and im just wondering how easy it is to do?
although im not sure i will put the bonnet on as it is a 16v bonnet and the car is a 1.4 and i hate when people put higher...
yay!! i did search before posting but couldnt find anything, not sure how good the ph3 bumper would look though with the ph1 lights as its not the nicest bumper anyway:S
Can anyone else confirm the above post?

and if you dont like it leave it to get covered in brake dust :D
yeah all the ones i have looked at so far have had rust on the arches, my last clio had it as well, seems pretty much all mk1s have!

id say around 2700 all in is my budget, thats including insurance and buying the car itself. i got quotes for both cars an it would be around £1700 for the clio and £1200 for the astra.
well the civic vti is insurance group 16! that is expensive to insure, the clio is group 12. but to be honest...
Did think of a civic a while ago but im not a huge fan and theyre really expensive to insure for what they are!
Why do you think that the astra would attract more attention, i would have thought that the clio would be seen as a more boy racer are tbh.
Lol i like what you did there, dis-astra...
lol no it wouldnt be an old astra, would be one of these
but not the same
well i dont need a car to get to work or to get to uni so it wouldnt matter about it being off the road but as you say its the running cost of the valver that is making me think twice
seems a nice tidy example there matey, i went 'ooooooo' when i read that first comment, dont know why anyone would say that!
If its reliable then its all good!
Hey everyone, haven't posted on here since the passing away of my clio but the bug has bitten again and im back!
The reason im posting is that in december i will be 19 with (hopefully) one years no claims and i am stuck about what car to replace my 306 with.
