Mixed weekend down at Silverstone Triangle (National). In qualifying I had a car that was a bag of understeer one minute, a bag of oversteer the next - partly due to sketchy driving skillz and partly due to the track being dry in some places, but wet in others. Brooklands was a corner I never...
Pal of mine steering a rather well tuned TR4 round Cadwell at a recent track day, a few laps until it developed a few issues (cooked brakes and fuel surge).
Had my best ever weekend this weekend, started well in the morning with no problems with the car which sailed through scruitineering for the first time! Some friends had arrived with a banner of support too:

The weekend's race ended pretty well for Harvick #29 who came from nowhere to win on the final bend of the final lap. Seeing the speed these things pass the camera at, mostly bump-drafting each other or partially sideways is mental.
No money means no major work done over the winter - I wanted to get the head off and inspect the cam, valves and pistons for wear and legality but as the car ran ok at the rolling road - decided this probably wasn't worth the cost and hassle. There's always next winter for that.
