worth noting that sometimes the bearings seperate into pieces. When i removed my old disc part of the old bearing staying place, ithen fitted new disc and couldnt get the pads in. so make sure the old bearings are off complety before fitting new disc!
wasnt pleasant trying to figure out why...
dead simple mate, you'l have to remove the caliper from the carrier. two bolts. will be quite tight. Take your pads ouf first then remove the caliper.
once they are off you'l need to undo the hub nut. will be very tight. to do this i put two wheel bolts into the hub as normal (without wheel...
yeah i have them on mine mate, very good little items. and the fog surrounds, and thier number plates, all very good. Bic fitted mine as they were the first set but look spot on.
Mirrors have started to dull but only because i havent polished them up recently.
£2800 ish not fitted. inc VAT. fitting on top maybe around £400-500.
pretty much garunteed 200bhp @ flywheel. a very capable car in anyway you look at it.
maybe this remap really is that good and its GDi/KTEC/Angelworks that have been conning us with low figures!!!! lol
on a more serious note. fair play to the guy for coming on here and defending himself, despite his claims he has kept his cool and replied in a proper manner. offered himself up...
Re: Taking The 172 Of The Road...
Not if its SORN surely!
No tax on a car if its sorned, means not MOT. no mot means no insurance usually...most insurance companies will ask for a copy of it.
Re: Taking The 172 Of The Road...

Hi all, i have the Rock solid Fk highsport coilovers on the clio at the mo. to be honest while i like a stiff ride (steady!) its starting to do my head in. After i drove another clio last week it highlighted just how shite this suspension setup really is.
So what i was wondering is if there is...
too much negative camber looks pish!
small amount look cool, as per the first picture of the white car! thats cool, any more and its just cack. looks like your axles are broken!
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
good effort matey, great level of dedication.
mistake taking out the heater matrix though. i did this in my saxo track car. was a nightmare. for the weight you save its really not worth the hassle.
any amount of rain and you will steam up inside...its constantly...
vts isnt far from a 172, a fairly good match id say, 172 may just nip it.
ive had 4 saxo's in total, 1.1i, vtr, vts supercharged and a another supercharged vts. in std form my 172 doesnt feel much quicker than a std vts...
IMO of course
2009 will be the best year yet!
KERS will be the main point of focus..those who use it and as to what adantage it gives is still very unknown...although test have shown boosts of up to 80bhp at times for a period of 6.6 seconds its difficult to see how that will be used in a race...
Hi all, can someone post the above, since im going for bodies soon and i want it to be sleeperish i want to return back to std 172 wheels. (not cup wheels) the fat 5 spokers.
Can anyone chuck up some pics of your iceburg 1*2 on those wheels. dont mind what colour really, just to get an idea of...
i think the only real difference is in the loudness of the two types they offer. one wont gain much more power than the other.
dont hear many complaints about the Ktec stuff.
