I have my own box, that I made myself, not very difficult, even mad it that it matches the angle of the back seat and the plastic bit at the back of the boot.
just wanted to maybe try somethig diiferent and save some space by making it narrow, rather than a square type.
was thinking of making a ne box for my 10". I ideally would want to make a thin box running down the left side of the boot, say 8" wide, running the depth of the boot , with the sub facing to the right (picture it ??)
now, do you think it would be prone to falling over, becuse the width would...
I know rockford do one, think this is the one.

Id like to see pics if poss. of the display.
do the steering wheel buttons all work as normal, or is there funstion altered in any way, ie. can you change form radio to CD, songs backwards and forwards etc.
thanks
no problem, I have one, have all standard speakers playing and sub which runs off amp, no problems. Using a RCA converter, then all the usual RCA cable to the amp.
standard unit isnt bad, much less chance of it getting pinched, has the great remote controls on the steering wheel, suits the...
anyone got any tips for the steering wheel, mines all worn where my right hand is,y ou can pick bits of leather off, looking rather sh*te at the mo.
any tips ?
could someone fill me in on the adjustment of the x-over on my amp, it runs a 10" sub on low pass and the filter is adjustable between 40-400Hz.
I presume the lower the Hz the lower frequency it will only allow through to the sub to play no ? can anyone reccomend where about it should be set...
yeah got her details, we had a "good" look at it all seems to be in place, all the bolts underneith look fine.
just need to go get one of those neck braces now for when I go see her ;)
standing still in the traffic, a lady in a Golf wagon lets the clutch out and BOOM into the back of me, thank goodness I have a tow bar, just need a new rubber cover (about the equivlent 2.50 quid)
was loading some stuff into my boot the other day and was thinking the sub was looking a little vulnerable, should I get a grill for it, does it affect the sound, probably not eh ? I know it wont look as "cool" unless I get one of those fancy pespex ones ??
who has one ?
[Edited by rock on...
ok, went back to the dealer, adjusted the cross over frequency to kinda get the "best of both worlds", 50cent was in the player when the other guy tuned it so there was virtually no bass when listening to any normal commercial music or anything at low volume.
anyways little adjustment now and...
any one have any experience with lightning audio convertible comps ? you can mount the tweeter in the mid so they fit like a co-axial but still have an external crossover.
would the sound still be as good with the teeter not on top of the dash ...
ok, thanks for the tip, called the shop and they said theyll have a look at it, they said usually you find after they adjust after a week or 2 there should be more bass.
well see.
just had my amp and sub for 2 weeks now, went back to the dealer as they said I should to set the gains etc after the sub was been run in.
sounds now like I have much less bass, from having a look at the amp now , it seems it was on full range on the fliter before and now theyve put it on low...
ya, my amp has high level inputs but the guys recommended I use the converter so I have all the RCS cables in place (in case I change the h/u)and it appaently will give a better signal, an no they werent trying to con me into buying something as the converter was very cheap.
Ive just done it with my mk2 ph1, no problems, using a hi to low converter, still have all factory speakers running of h/u and sub running of the amp. (for now that is)
ok thanks, is it a standard size one, ie should I have it in my tool kit, or is a special size ?
Either way Ill check tomorrow
anyone done it themselves, is it easy or is it a bugger to get out ??
just notices this wire is sticking out of the panels, can I simply unscew this bolt that holds that bar for the rear seatbelt, need to get the wire hidden asap
any tips ?
