Ive just lately started to think the speakers in my 1.6 is starting to go, as far as I know the set up is the same spec as the Mk1 172, juut with out the shuttle.
I would want to keep the headunit, as its nice and subtle and like the steering wheel control, should I just get a new set of...
ok, read all the old threads with the search function and realise you gotta fiddle with the wires.
but think I read about getting the bulb hoder as well which allows for no wire swopping ? any know about this ?

never seen these before, only in the magazines, how do they work, does the metal parrt stick to the windscreen inside or wahst, self adhesive ?

my GF just ordered a new 1.2 16V in black !! Ive always heard things like "black gets too hot", "black shows scratched and dirt" etc.
My car is a funny blue and also shows the dirt quicky....
Anyone with a black clio have any experience with their cars, it does look good when new and shiny...
I got some mats with my 1.6, navy blue, exactly same as above ones, with one piece rear matt, but much darker, no logo though or heel mat, starting to look bit tatty on the drivers side though.
anyways I think they have a hole or two in them, are there something that can make them stay in...
hmm...just had my 45000km done about 2 weeks ago. Went down as quoted R550 (46 squids).......although they said Ive got to go back to have my brakes checked, they want R755 for new pads fitted !!
Theres a master card competition here where you can win a clio an they have four of them in diff colours on the pamphlet, although it looks like they wanted a yellow one and didnt have a pic so "shopped" a 172 into metallic yellow, looks really cool, cos it shows the rear with yellow tail lights...
while were on this topic, if I upgrade my speakers, do I really need an amp for the front components, they are components as standard right ? and they work ok with no amp, can I just change to some descent speakers all around with worrying with an amp ?
can some on fill me in on replacement airfilter, cone and the like, spoke to a mate the other day who put one in his Corsa GSi (shame) THey give yuo more top end and a nicer sound ????
who makes good ones, and what problems could you experience ?
