Do any of you guys have a picture of it? Just so I can get an idea of how this lasts. I am not knocking anything you guys are saying so don't take this the wrong way. But I would always service the fuel filter ever 2 years if it a petrol car and this motor being 9 years old I feel it should be done.
I have a 172 cup, What i can read up this has the fuel filter in the tank.
Is this right ?
How much are they ?
Also 150k service item is this correct?

If i am doing the clutch and seals I will do it even if it makes it go that little bit better. Why not I have never had one machined before so got to try it sometime.
Go Cheap and get some brasso from any hard ware shop. Get the wadding one it what we used and we have made a lot of stainless steel parts works a treat.
Have you tried increasing and decreasing the pipe work size through out the system to speed up the air flow? My mate is running 550 bhp out an inpreza and has a very fancy pipe work.
I have used the eBay ones on my focus rs. They worked very well and as for pressure loss the low intake temps well make up for it. I done a r/r day and seen a drop of 30c compared to the standard cooler set up with same boost on the other guys cars there. With cooler air my car also had more...
Car had been driven for over 8 miles and as said it was not cold. But I would really heat it up. Also ask to see if there was a problem with it As I think there is. Why don't you put something positive in to replys to help poeple out.
When i bought the car i was told it has been camed from the guy i bought it off it has a very lumpy idle also. but the guy could not tell me the profile. i am going to get it stripped down in the next few weeks and check it all out and get a map for the car. i have all the gaskets and belts here...
Cheers for that mate as i am an engineer that is right just from start. Oil heats up very quick as you will know i am sure??. But then explain why it wont rev? Then as asked is there something ie a temp sensor that wont let it rev over this below a set temp car was run for a fair bit before...
