i had a dabble when i was looking at getting the 182 but it didnt feel as quick as the 182, passenger or not, power delivery was smoother but just didnt feel quite as potent as the 182.
I think the 182's better torque-to-weight is to blame, as i felt unable to overtake in the 197 below...
Anybody know how the front bumper comes off as i want to cut the hole in the bottom grill for my new CAF but dont want to go cutting/hacking/sawing/gnawing/pulling at the bumper at trying to get it off if there is an easy way of doing it!!
Help plz coz i wanna get this BMC on!!!!
i.e. Maxogen or will ITG panel filter in OE airbox with bigger CAF and minus acoustic valve be just as efficient gains-wise?? Need advice its pecking my sweed
Guys can anyone put up some simple instructions or ideas as to how to get a good caf to the std airbox, i wanna get an itg panel and get a good caf to it, i dont see the point in IKs unless its a maxogen as i dont believe renaultsport would have chucked a shi*ty airbox on a performance car that...
very very worth doing. even more so because prudential (and maybe others) give you an automatic one yr NCB. quotes from other companies on my old 1.4RT came out at over £1300, but with pru with my pass plus........ £690!!!! saved me a mint, it was third party but hey car was worth nothing anyway
don't try heel n' toe on the open road unless you know what ur doing without practice so thats daft advice, i only know how to do it smoothly due to having raced cars for a few yrs, its not an easy thing to master by any stretch. clutch may just be wearing and biting higher up, coz you dont...
must be careful tho with slightly older cars anyone who has say R5s or mkI clio coz the lowered car puts the dampers under permanent compression and can go very, very quickly. i know i've been there, didnt bother getting the t shirt...
I want to lower the 182 on original rims to sharpen ther handling and get the turn in even harder than it is now, but i need to know how low you can go, or how far people think is acceptable before it looks like the springs have snapped!!
30mm all round, 20mm?
If anyone has any pix that...
yeah m8 i looked at that with my old 1.4RT but i just held out and got a 182, best way really. You get the whole package, i.e. tuned chassis as well as engine
yeah recharge cans arent expensive, exercise caution though when doing it its dangerous if you dont know what you're doing, a mate overfilled one on his astra and blew up the air con unit and fractured his wrist in the process so watch it!!
i've had 135 out of my 182 on an airfield, and still had a few revs to go, i think it'd hit 150, with higher rev limit by a few hundred. had just under 120 with my old 1.4RT, pretty peppy lil motor that even having driven the 182, cracking motors both of em
one important thing to do is once you've fitted the ind. kit to disconnect the battery to reset the ECU. This changes the fule setting mixture slightly to the new amounts of air being gulped by the engine as the computer is a self-learning unit and calibrates itself accordingly.
It like the...
I'm looking at buying the jvc kd-avx33 hed unit with 3.5" screen on, as you can still use it whilst on the move for passengers, as my 10yr old bro would kick off if i got one that you couldnt. Anyway, i've asked a few car audio places who have said that you cant use another head unit with the cd...
I've got a K&N 57i on now but want either a viper/hillpower or just an ITG panel filter as i'm shelling out for the grp-n remap too and want to know if anyone thinks its worth spending £250 odd for an induction kit of if the panel filter will work just as well.
Also i've been trying to get...
Many a time i've wanted to have another 1000rpm when overtaking, especially when space is tight and you get that wave of VVT at 5000revs but then have to change up a second later at about 6700rpm, so £300 would be worth it just for that for me.
Does anyone have a hillpower induction setup on their 17/182 as i have a k&n 57i on now, but have heard numerous good reviews about the hillpower systems. Anyone who can shed light on the matter will be appreciated thanx guys, as i'm trying to find the best induction kit i can find to go hand in...
Hi people i'm new here having previously used the official renaultsport website for forums but saw how many people there were at FCS07 and had to join up here!! Anyway keeping on thread, has anyone has the K-tec group-n remap on their 182, and if so have you seen a big difference??
Regards to all
yeah i had a 1.4RT before the 182 and it was a fab lil motor, never once failed to start and has done over 130k when i got rid, only prob was leaky sunroof but other than that, bonzer!!!
