As others have said with the correct offset you can get away with a 60 mm drop and still carry a full car load. Not sure of the offset, think its et 36, tyres should be 205/40x17.
Renault do a sleeve that joins the two bits back together, providing that youve cut it off cleanly that is. Thats what they do when you have a replacement silencer fitted.
You cant just seal the pump with sealant if its leaking it will usually b from the bearing or the small hole underneath. Either way it will need replacing.You only want to do the job once surely.
When u strip it out you will more than likely find its the pump itself leaking, not the gasket. You should also replace the timing belt at the same time, you should never refit the old belt.
