Tax on a DCI if you put a sport engine into it.

Apparently the turbos eat themselves and the engine, something to do with it just letting oil into the combustion and it runs itself on it's own oil?

I think you've missed the point by a country mile. He doesn't rate the reliability of these. Let alone when you mess with them!

Look forward to doing business with Matt Black then, won't you.

    reflective windscreen ideas

You've got to use lighting of sufficient intensity - which is why the iPhone HUD stuff fails.

    Time to face the music...

FPMSL @ the clownshoe. Most people worry about belts that much that they get them done a couple of months early. Not 3/4 years late for the Aux belt and 1/2 years late for the Cam belt!

Just LOL. I really don't get this place sometimes. First it's supercar 1*2s, now it's supercar 1*2-beating 1.5 litre diesels!

Road to LeMans 2010 (12th/13th June)... you game?

Because I drive an Audi, and Naith drives a Smegane. Which will confuse people.

Does a 197 or 200 engine fit in a 182, and if not why not?

I was under the impression that the gearbox was the majority of the issue.

Road to LeMans 2010 (12th/13th June)... you game?

I might plaster the barge in ClioSport decals, just to confuse people. If JD ever appears, I'll take his sexy face too.

Can "Brand" of fuel really make that much difference??

Mine lives on Shell Optislurp, but it says so on the sticker in the flap. I'm not brave enough to feed shite to two turbos.

Road to LeMans 2010 (12th/13th June)... you game?

Fcuking joking aren't you? You know that for the majority of the cars going you've got to take the front bumper off to change the bulb pretty much?

    anyone fancy a v6

Didn't spot that, I'm concentrating (sort of!) on RL. LOL. And yeah, it just saves them the backlash of 'I've just phoned up a couple of dealers and they saw it with 20,000 more miles on it 6 months ago'.

    anyone fancy a v6

A getout clause that most used car dealers will use now, because they (quite rightly!) don't want to be held accountable for anyone clocking it previously.

    Too Much Oil?

This. It takes you a minute to check all the fluids on your car, 2 minutes to check everything including tyre pressures and brake pads (if you've got disks!) and it could potentially save your life (if you run out of pad you'll not stop!) or at least save you some pennies when you've scored...

Barely. It'd be like the race between the 30-stone man and the raspberry.

Tax on a DCI if you put a sport engine into it.

I've owned a dCi and a 182. I did a little bit of tuning on both. Don't take the piss. The dCi wouldn't see the heels of the 182 past 5mph. f**king LOL at some of the comedy that this place brings.

Because conversations evolve. If you're unable to grasp this concept then how the hell you manage in society is beyond me. It's still related to the start of this thread, and isn't offensive. If every thread was how you describe, you could lock it after the first reply. The board would be...

    V6 for £8500 anyone?

No tracker, more expensive to insure, less of a 'collectors' item.

Don't think 1156 was a UK car, may be wrong though. *Edit - 1156 definitely wasn't. Import.

WTF?! You ask questions, you get answers/opinions. If you don't want them, don't ask questions! Point of a discussion board - missed by a country mile. Considering you run one, that's pretty daft a failing!

Tax on a DCI if you put a sport engine into it.

How do you know he couldn't sell his perfectly good dCi for £2500? And then have a car he can actually sell on afterwards. For what it's worth. Rather than a million people running ten million miles because 'someone' has changed the engine in it. Not to mention the 172 comes with the climate...

Tax on a DCI if you put a sport engine into it.

But you're on about pulling the ENTIRE fuel system. It's not a case of petrol to petrol, it's diesel to petrol so EVERY LAST BIT of the fuelling system has to go. When you can buy a good Ph2 172 with the engine, brakes and suspension you'd need for £3k, WTF would you do it?!

Judging by his post which seemed to condone not insuring modifications, I'd say the guy is a wanker. And an incorrect one at that!
