FPMSL @ the clownshoe. Most people worry about belts that much that they get them done a couple of months early. Not 3/4 years late for the Aux belt and 1/2 years late for the Cam belt!
Didn't spot that, I'm concentrating (sort of!) on RL. LOL.
And yeah, it just saves them the backlash of 'I've just phoned up a couple of dealers and they saw it with 20,000 more miles on it 6 months ago'.
A getout clause that most used car dealers will use now, because they (quite rightly!) don't want to be held accountable for anyone clocking it previously.
This.
It takes you a minute to check all the fluids on your car, 2 minutes to check everything including tyre pressures and brake pads (if you've got disks!) and it could potentially save your life (if you run out of pad you'll not stop!) or at least save you some pennies when you've scored...
I've owned a dCi and a 182. I did a little bit of tuning on both.
Don't take the piss. The dCi wouldn't see the heels of the 182 past 5mph. f**king LOL at some of the comedy that this place brings.
Because conversations evolve. If you're unable to grasp this concept then how the hell you manage in society is beyond me. It's still related to the start of this thread, and isn't offensive. If every thread was how you describe, you could lock it after the first reply. The board would be...
WTF?!
You ask questions, you get answers/opinions. If you don't want them, don't ask questions!
Point of a discussion board - missed by a country mile. Considering you run one, that's pretty daft a failing!
How do you know he couldn't sell his perfectly good dCi for £2500? And then have a car he can actually sell on afterwards. For what it's worth. Rather than a million people running ten million miles because 'someone' has changed the engine in it.
Not to mention the 172 comes with the climate...
But you're on about pulling the ENTIRE fuel system. It's not a case of petrol to petrol, it's diesel to petrol so EVERY LAST BIT of the fuelling system has to go. When you can buy a good Ph2 172 with the engine, brakes and suspension you'd need for £3k, WTF would you do it?!
