Off out of here, if you want it then the details are on the ad. Possibly breaking it - if you drop me an email via my profile I'll arrange bits through that.
Right, f**k it then. It'll got for 12k (as apparently that's what it's worth?!) and I'll be glad to be shot of it. I'll get the 106 just so I don't have to be branded with the rest of this forum.
Ok.
Right, challenge then Dawn as you know best, find me one in immaculate condition with near new tyres all round and all servicing up to date without a mark on either the inside or the outside for cheaper.
Simple challenge.
f**k that for a game of cricket. Front disks - £500. Rears are £300-400 from memory. Pads are another £100-£150, tyres are £200 a pop.
Beast of a service. I did mine over 3 weeks so it hurt less! LOL!
Maybe try putting your opinion across without calling an established member's advert 'verbal diarrhoea'? Or maybe even thinking about what you're putting, because common sense didn't prevail in your post.
What you said was you'd rather buy a £14-15k car and spend £2-4k on it, than spend £16k...
Aye - £4k is a touch steep (main stealer price for what I had done maybe?) but mine easily saw £2k. For someone to suggest that it's 'wrong' to want a fraction of that on top of the price for one without the work just demonstrates how out of touch they are...
Bigger motors (certainly the 5-series and A6) actually brake from the CC - so if you hang on the stick for dear life trying to slow it down it puts the brakes on!
Sounds like you want Backup Exec. Downside of the D2D stuff that David's talking about is it is disgustingly expensive compared to a cheap SCSI or Fibre attached storage box like the Fibrenetix. And backup storage needs to be cheap, and fairly reliable - not bulletproof and gold plated!
I was going to say when some c**t gave you some money to take it off your hands. But I used a similar expression on v6clio, and there's someone on there called 'Some c**t'.
Fail.
ArcServe or Backup Exec (my preference, but only because I'm better at it!) with one of these:
http://www.fibrenetix.com/products/333/16938/
Or one of it's smaller brothers. Fantastic and cheap for backup to disk, as it takes your ordinary old SATA disks!
LOL!
And to the OP - a Diesel engine isn't that complicated, if the pump is going and the injectors are firing you'll get it having half an attempt at going. If it's not even trying (no smoke!) then you want to look at injectors, pump, and any electronic whizzbangs that prevent that running.
Thanks - done! He wants less miles and keepers but given that already I've had comments that it's one of the best on v6clio.net I'm hopeful that his requirements will be flexible!
Pep - it's up at that price because I'd sooner have someone phone and say 'would you take £16k' next week than have someone phone tonight and say 'I'll take it' at £15k. If this time next week I've had nothing but spam in my inbox, then I'll probably drop it a shade.
Plus, it's a Laguna engine...
Yup - it's one of those cars that every time you put your foot down, you get a warm, happy feeling in your pants. It could take 6 years to get to 60 for all I cared, the noise made it mental fun.
