had the maxxes put in yesterday at the cost of (including labour) UKP76 thereabouts...
still running in now but already i can feel improved retardation to the tune of about 20 to 30% which of course is subjective...well at least it was better than the stock discs which were slightly warped and...

thanks for all the compliments, people...very happy to know at least its appreciated...
the side skirts are prima racing...
the eyemasks, grill, front lip, rear lip are all sourced from MS designs via a singaporean agent...think the website is www.ms-designs.com or you can try a web...
ooooh, ap racing, i like!!! but my bank account will be well and truly busted if i go for those...
in view of the budget that i have to work with, definitely the only choice is the brembo max as even the tarox monza is more expensive...*sigh* so much things to do, so little moolah...
mark172...i heard locally in singapore some scoobies did fit the mintex 1144s but they encoutered severe noise problems thereafter...very loud under braking...can i have your comments on this?
i am intending to change the brake pads to somethin other than ebc and the mintex are the 1st choice...
sparcos strut brace supposedly for the 172 also fits the normal clios...its confirmed...cos a couple of me mates have em fitted...oh and they do not obstruct access to the engine like the OMP one does...i think...
if only i had the $$$ for it...postage plus material cost must be quite steep to get it to singapore where i am...skint skint skint...especially with christmas around the corner :(
as i understand it, the brembo max rotors are replacement rotors for the stock so they should definitely be of the same size otherwise they wont fit, will they?
tarox are a fair bit more expensive than the brembo maxes...about another 40% higher-priced...
green stuff is good that there is hardly any brakedust but it is made of kevlar and tends to run hot...possible disc warpage? i think my stock discs are slightly warped...changing to brembo max too, like kk...
ktecs are kevlar too, i think...
allo kk-man...you are a really quick mover...ill be doing mine next week cos aint got no time this week...
how long do they take to run in and bed properly?
heres 4 pix of my car...dunno how to post the actual pic, so please follow the links...

allo there...am intending to replace my stock rotors with a set of brembo max rotors...fairly cheap but i really dunno how they perform...my stocks ones are a bit warped hence the change...
brembo maxes are slotted...
can anyone venture an opinion?

my mk2 facelift clio came with 15" et43.5 rims...they were horrid...way too far in in the wheelwell...
have since changed to 16" et38...much much better...
does anyone know for the clio mk2 then? is the capacity of 50 litres inclusive of the reserve tank (supposed to be 5 litres) or can i run it completely flat till the 0 mark and still have 5 litres left for emergency?
