I used Turtle Wax bug and tar removal wipes. Got them cheap from Tesco and they did an ok job but polishing the front will do a much better job.

I have had to have 2 windscreens replaced now and they cost me £50 each time on the insurance. The 172 windscreen took a while to come in stock as it is heat reflective and all that gubbins !

I did around 350-370 miles out of a full tank the other week going to Rally Drive so it is definitely possible.

Do a search on the 4k rattle, nearly EVERY 172 has had this problem so it is VERY common to the extent that it is almost a feature ! LOL ! :oops: As for warranty, I had the same problem and I was in the final year of my warranty, I had this replace FREE of charged under my warranty.

Take that photo to a sign printer near you and ask them to make it. You could always PM sbmbailey on these boards, he has his own business and I am sure he could sort this out with any problems at all.

This is what had to be done to david16vs valver at Rally Drive last week. The guy who ran the place sorted it out, was very impressed how he did it.

You can get them brand new for a little more so I wouldnt pay that for a 3 year old one, never mind the mileage.

I only paid £8800 for an 02 MKII 172 with 9730 miles on the clock so £9995 is very pricey to be honest, especially for the age.

Anything but silver IMHO.

No it isnt, it has no headlight washer jets ?!?? The description sounds like a 172 but the photos are definitely a Cup.
