I have ordered it! I have got it from Harrison Cameras who are an authorised UK Sigma retailer and paid £345 with free delivery. I get a 3 year extended warranty and also Sigma are giving away a free 77mm DG UV filter with the purchase of every 10-20mm 4-5.6 lens (UK Retailers only with stock...
I will regret not buying it before going to Rome next month so I'm going to have to get one soon. There always seem to be loads on ebay too but I still don't know what to do. Pay £270ish for a second hand one or £325 for a brand new import that at least has some from of warranty on it. My gut is...
But what is the problem with imports? It it just the lack of warranty? Because if I'm going second hand I'm probably getting no warranty either and its probably a couple of years old!
A few months before Christmas I took the plunge and bought my first camera. I went second hand and paid just under £300 for a d3100 18-55mm kit lens, 70-300 tamron, tripod, lowepro bags/cases for body and lenses, and UV filters. I don't think I did too badly but in hindsight I wish I had saved a...
Thanks, will do.
It is a fair bit of money but if you look after it, keep the box and packaging you will fetch about £280 on eBay so you don't really lose much!
I am toying with the idea of buying a sigma 10-20mm lens and with Rome fast approaching I am thinking of doing this sooner rather than later.
after looking it seems you can get some legit but imported lenses for cheaper. What is the problem with these? Lack of warranty? Is that it? Is it so...
My colleague rang up querying it because he went on the website and noticed a new customer could take a new contract with more rewards for less money.. They then transferred him onto that contract maintaining his current term. So he now gets more for less money.
You don't ask, you don't get.
I bought the same LG as that but the 42" and the 575T model (exactly the same but has built in wifi rather than a dongle sold separately) It is a brilliant TV for the money. We got it from Currys for £419 which is pretty dam good tbh. If you are on O2 the you also get £20 off any purchase over...
+1. Amazing picture, so simple but works so well. Love how the flag is in there too.
Cant wait to go there now, I should be going next year. A long time away but I'm looking forward to it so much!
Looking good mate, today was my first go with a DA as well! Went pretty well I'm glad to say, was a bit nervous at first though! I'll try and get a few pics when I can be arsed to move again! Hard work all that buffing!!
I tried using LP via machine this morning but didn't seem to be getting anywhere with it on the test area I did. I then used BH and it came up a treat, then layered a couple of coats of Z2 and its gleaming! Chuffed with it but shattered now!
Thanks for the advice all
I have just brought a DAS6 DA polisher to try and get some swirls out of my paint.
I have 3 pads at the minute: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Menzerna_135mm_Pads.html
I have dodo juice lime prime, PB blackhole, and Zaino Z2.
What should I use and which pads should i use them with...
I have little advice to offer as I have only owned my DSLR for about 2 months, but I got a second hand d3100 with a couple of lenses and I am chuffed with it. I didn't want to spend too much at first so was perfect for me.
Do they actually charge you a full subscription though? or just cancel all services running to that box?
We went through a stage of never using our multi room in our bedroom when we moved last year, as we had no TV up there. We left the box powered off until we got a TV. When we turned it on we...
Nice one Luke, thanks for that! I think i will definitely go for a 35mm then, I will end up backed up in corners of rooms using a 50 I reckon! Being honest I'd rather get a sigma 10-20mm but I can't justify the cost after only owning a camera for 6 weeks!!
I'm sure I was looking at the 35 and 50mm AF-S and the 35mm seemed about £30 more, maybe i was looking at the wrong thing, I had spent about 4 hours browsing ebay and was getting pretty tired!! but yeh, like you said I would need AF-S.
If you could bung a couple of comparison shots up that...
I have a D3100.
Like you have said 50mm on my camera wont actually be 50mm will it? Hence why I was thinking the 35mm. They seem to be a little more pricey than the 50mm, why is that?
Would you say you prefer the focal length of the 35 over the 50 then? I am looking to get one or the other, I have a 18-55 kit lens and a 70-300 zoom. I always feel when at 55mm in the house or similar I am too close, so I'm swaying towards the 35mm. Is there any other difference apart from the...
I'm looking to get a bag for my gear I'm slowly accumulating as I am not enjoying carrying several small bags/cases.
I want it to be able to carry the body and a few lenses/couple + Flash, and be able to carry a tripod. Carrying a laptop isn't essential. And i would like it to look remotely...
Mainly use it for the internet, games and iPlayer etc, but I also use TeamViewer a hell of a lot to remotely control PC's and also Plex to stream all my media to my iPad.
