It sure was £700!! Refurbed box, with a new clutch and new driveshaft. Years warranty on the box was the main reason I went to Renault. They couldn't tell me that they would or would not contribute untill the box was out though.

Steve, it sounds similar to how mine started. Mine had just done 40k. I believe, it was due to too much slack within the gearbox/diff. I ended up with a new box in the end, got Renault to pay 60% though.

Mine did this and got worse within a couple of weeks. Reverse was the worse. Ended up having to buy a new gearbox of Renault.

Does it do it on/off the power when in gear, say 4th at 30mph?

Mine was doing this last week. Press the 'services' button, then '01' then '4' and I think red buyton to resent the frequency. Thats what they told me and after 45mins waiting on the phone.

I like the decals on the 197. I use to see it out infront of the dealers everyday, on my way to work. I think it looks better in the flesh. The Exige is pure sex.

As said I would get down to Carlton Garage, Exmouth. I use them and travel down from Bristol. You won't get any cheaper and they won't rip you off.

I try to give mine a quick wash once a week and quick detailer wax. The most i'll let it go is two weeks depending on the mileage I have done. Once winters gone, Clay, SRP, EGP and wax. Then wax once a month and SRP, EGP and wax every 3 months.
