What exhaust have you got now?
It looks very similar to our exhaust for the 1.2:
This has a 180mm oval muffler with 45mm piping and a 120x80 oval tips.
We have a system for 1.2 cars with the 182 bumper!

Sadly the 873404 exhaust (it shares the same...
An high quality sports cat, like an HJS 200 cpsi, can cost from 500£ up to 800£. It has a 80% gas flow againts a 40-45% of a ceramic stock cat, that usually has a 500-800 cpsi density.
If you don't want to go decat (smell, MOT) it's the best choice, you'll get some increase, especially with a...
Fred with that kit the rear suspensions are coilovers? Are they derived from a different kit for other cars or what?
I'd like too see a picture of the kit fitted to the rear!
I think you could fit a silencer where the cat used to be, or fit a better silenced ehxuast. I have a k-tec stealth too (mild steel), with a sports cat, and it's too loud inside the car, on long trip it gets annoying, in fact I'm replacing it next week, still stealth but different brand...
The new Supersprint will be available very soon, they'll come out of the production line this week. It's been specifically designed to be quiet and stealth but with no performance drawback (the pipes are still 2,5") and top notch quality.
I'm going to fit one to my car (172 ph2 with 182 manifold...
I agree...honestly, if you're buying new sportlines+konis, the price is almost the same as new B14..no brainer!
I bought sportlines (for 80£) and Konis (for 230£), used, and I'm happy, but I have to say I tested a 172 with B14s and it was a little better on the road, especially on poor tarmac.
Fitted...1st impression is very good! Firmer but not unconfortable, very stable and roll/pitch has decreased.
I think I'll leave them as they are for now. I'll try on a few very poor roads, if they are good there they are spot on!
I tried the car on a private road at ~200 kph and it's so much...
Today I got the Clio back...new style top mounts, koni dampers and eibach sportlines.
Sadly the creaking when I steer at low speed / still is not cured.
Now the only thing I haven't changed are the arb bushes and the steering rack... what do you think?!
I think that as you go with the light on the car get worse as the ECU try to compensate the wront gas values...I'm not sure if the Clio ecu is "smart" enought, many cars do this.
I bought a new one, I tried every kind of lubricant but the noise was still there. 40 euros in the toilet but at least that annoying buzz is gone (for now).
Even the dealer agree with me that's a poor design and they don't know how to fix it without replacing it.
Personally, I think the...
Good story...I had an accident too recently and the repair cost was around 2k euros (respraying a few additional panels), but I decided to fix it and go on.
I wouldn't raccomend a 172 to anyone who doesn't want to fix, service and upgrade the car and just want something to go around with no...
I've got the Eibach camber bolts now, on the oem shocks...no need to modify them so why should I do that on the Konis?
Anyway, is it true that the koni already give more camber than oem?
I'm bringing the car to the garage this evening.
Many people make the same mistake with suspensions and tyres: thery compare the old worn ones with the new ones, so the next tyres/suspensions are always better than the last ones.
I'm not saying xoldog this is your case, just saying something I noticed.
You can't adjust the height as that depends on the springs, so if you use standard springs you have standard height, if you use prokit -1,5 cm, sportline -2,5~-3, if you use others springs even more BUT Koni dampers are made to work between standard height and -3.
The adjustment on the koni is...
Who drives at 70 on the motorway?!
I don't know anyone who have those MPG with a Cooper S R53, any version!
The remap won't do anything to the fuel consumption and it's worth only if you do some modifications like cams, exhaust or IC. The SC pulley is already the right size, the intake is...
