Well, if you tune a 172/182 to have the same power of a GP I think the MPG will be very similar...
The thing is a GP will go to 240 hp with cams and a remap, and that's not even expensive as there's only 1 cam.
The only problem of that engine is the intercooler, is small and in a very poor...
As you said, the supercharger is always spinning so you got a component that absorbs power all the time, so that's the reason it'll have less MPG than the same engine without the SC, even "off boost".
Obviosly when the SC is working you get the MPG of a much more big engine as you use more fuel...
Ahaha it's not a turbo, off boost doen't exist, it's supercharged!
Let's see, usually it's 9 km/l going slow, around 6 having a bit of fun...in MPG-->22 down to 14 MPG depending on how you drive.
A R56 JCW is around 12 km/l, 28 MPG, down to 20 having fun.
I like it too, but a few things weren't thought through, like the seats, instead of fitting some lightweight items they used the standard structures with recaro bolstering, and the fake reinforcement bar too, a rear strut brace would be better.
I think it has one of the highest power to weight...
Nice car...I have always found the GP a bit chaotic in the style departent, too many colors and grey tints.
I say the wheel looks better in silver, possibily the same color of the roof, and I hate the red mirrors.
A few curiosities:
The rear bar is not a real chassis reinforcement, if you...
Dubdub did they change it or what fix was needed? I have the same problem, steering tend to stay in the direction of the last corner.
I also like a picture of the steering bushes/U clamp (should be the same?)
The Renault dealer suggested to put some sand paper between the bush and the rack...is...
If they replace the foam filter with a new one with just pictures of it ok, I'm not sending it back from Italy! If they can send me a ITG, paying the difference, even better.
A new paper filter would cost me 40 euros, a K&N oiled cotton filter 66...so maybe I could buy this last one instead.
I'm buying a set with 25k miles, the seller told me they were perfectly fine on the car. They have been sanded and painted, so corrosion should be ok (it wasn't so bad before from the pictures, but it's better now!)
I think I will only have to turn them a bit stiffer. How are yours daveski? how...
Ahah! It's true that the finish is VERY good, the weldings are perfect. I find shocking that a company of such level needs to use tricks like photoshopped dyno charts!
