There seem to be more and more of these conversions being done now, a guy local to me is also doing one and it is useful to swap information on problems and work-arounds that you encounter.
The big difference is we are both putting Turbo'd F7Ps into our Renault 5's :clown:
Check it out guys. Jetta VR6 turbo from Schimmel Performance in the States.

Nice pictures.
Minor criticism is that they look quite grainy, what type of camera did you use to take them and what film speed, aperture, shutter speed etc?
It should really be done about now, particularly if you don't know the history of the car. GDI will change the timing and auxillary belt on a cup for about £350. I've used them before and they provide a good service.
Saw a silver 51 plate 172 at the Eaton crossroad junction about 5 minutes ago. Had some quite large multispoke alloys on it and an aftermarket exhaust.

Are these worth the money? My standard exhaust is about to fall off, and I'm down on the south coast in a couple of weeks and strongly considering one of these.
There is a Subaru dealership a couple of minutes from me. All the old dears go in there becauses it's 'local' and often come out driving Impreza Turbos etc lol :)
A couple of years ago (I was about 22-23 at the time) I rang a company to try and insure my MK2 Golf GTI 8v (which is not a quick car btw).
I was told "Sorry. We don't think it is sensible to insure people under the age of 30 on sports cars". I tried to explain to her it was a fairly heavy...
Are these the correct Eibach Sportlines for a 172 Cup? I was searching and thought the price was quite reasonable!
