Just recently my accelerator pedal has started squeeking, when I am depressing and releasing the pedal (for instance on gear changes) there is a squeeking sound and something else which sounds like air escaping.
Anybody experienced this before?
Good project, are you designing and plumbing the fuel system yourself? If you want 3-400HP and intend to use only 4 injectors, then you will need to be looking at injectors rated @ 550cc/min + in reality.
That is a Cup race car isn't it? Doesn't look like the road legal version which will be sold to the public as per the 172 Cup.
Don't they cost about 20 grand exluding any seats? lol :)
I commute 40 miles a day at the moment. A roads at between 50-70 all the way. My 172 Cup averages 40mpg and I use about £30 of fuel per week to and from work.
Yeah obviously that is a factor. But on a steady run @ 50-60 with the blower off the temperature sits on the 'currently' mark on the picture above. At 70+ the temperature rises slightly but still not to the normal mark.
As long as this is acceptable then I am happy. Coming from a Renault 5...
Right guys, since the weather has turned cold my Cup has started to run a little colder. Should the car be getting up to temp regardless of the ambient temperature? Obviously I am worried about the temperature of my oil and its' ability to protect my engine.
It is running basically a bar...
A guy I worked with recently had one of the new Celica GTs. Took it for a spin and wasn't that impressed, the power is very linear and there is a definite lack of torque.
Through the gears the 172 is considerably more pacey - car performance isn't all about 0-60 times.
Re: East Anglian Xmas Meet/Meal/Drinks Sunday 9th December
There is a nice road which branches off that horrible roundabout in the middle of Thetford forest (halfway between Newmarket and the Yank airbase). It goes to Bury St Edmunds I think, drove down that once to avoid the traffic at said...
