    Clio 200 Brake Pad Warning?

After a few evenings on the track I seem to be getting to the end of my brake pads. Is there a break pad warning light on the 200 or do I need to keep checking them manually? Ditto on the brake discs - any easy way to check their condition?

    clio 200 wow

I have a Clio 200 in Pearl White with a black roof and black speedlines. Wherever I park up I always get people coming over to say how awesome it looks, even in Switzerland where people aren't exactly known for their gregarious nature. It really is a great looking car in the flesh, so stocky...

EVO Mag June 2010 172 cup vs 200 cup

absolutely not. If anything the 200 Cup is more focussed than the earlier cars. I've owned a 182ff, 182 Trophy and my brother owned a 172. Now have a 200 and I can assure you that not an ounce of soul has been lost in the development of the newer car. They've just added a few extra bits to...

hi from germany, clio cup 200

good stuff. what tyres are you on? Takes the M3 quite a while to pull away from you. How is your 200 holding up to the regular track use by the way?

    Best Track Tyres?

Thanks for the advice. I guess I will take it a little easy on the next few sessions - I just had a hard time controlling my enthusiasm last time :-) I've been quoted 1000 chf (about 650 quid) for 4 888's fitted, which is actually slightly cheaper than the OE tyres at the same tyre fitter so...

    Best Track Tyres?

After 3 short track evenings my OE front tyres are dead. Ok, I was driving like a bit of a hooligan, but does anyone know if trackday rubber would last longer in these circumstances? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHrZm8Ehfqo Will Toyo 888's last longer on track than the Conti Sport...

Clio 200 on Track - Video

It's only short sessions - probably 15 mins at a time with good cool down periods in between. Fronts lasted 3 track evenings, rears are probably good for twice that. Of course you can get more life out of them if you drive more smoothly...

Clio 200 on Track - Video

yeah indeed - I don't always corner like that! I just threw in a bit of a flick on those corners to bring the rear of the car into play and then balance the slide on the throttle with just a little opposite lock. :-) Find heel/toe more difficult on the 200 than the Trophy - still possible...

Clio 200 on Track - Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHrZm8Ehfqo Short compilation from a recent trackday with the Clio 200. Plenty of oversteer :-) It really is a great car for the track - took all the usual stripped out track-prepped hatches to pieces and kept a Swiss Mini Challenge car at bay a few laps until...

    Best Clio in 20 years?

Great cars. Clio 172 Cup should've been in there too. Video was epic in it's dullness. Where's the three wheeling from the Trophy? Where's the wild oversteer from the Williams? Where are the spins in the V6 :-) Where are the beautiful slides in the 200?

    Track Tyres for Clio 200

thanks for the info Seriousha. by the way, anneau was a bit tough on the tyres - went from brand new to about half used in a single evening on the track. guess the 888's will wear even more quickly though... So, which size is better, 225 or 215?

    Track Tyres for Clio 200

Looking to get hold of a set of semi-slick road-legal trackday tyres for my Clio 200. What are my options? I've looked for Toyo 888's but I can't seem to find them in the correct size. Can I fit 225's on my 7.5" speedlines or should I stick with 215's?

Clio RS 200, Selling like Hot Cakes??

Has anyone else gone back to standard??

I did this with my Trophy a couple of years ago. The previous owner had fitted KW V2's, OMP buckets, removed the ABS and ESP, etc. I took real pleasure from meticulously setting everything back to standard and managed to make a small pile of cash in the meantime - I straight swapped the OMP...

Totalled my car this evening on way back from Milton Keynes :( Through a Fence

I don't understand why you're all giving this guy such a hard time. Going TPFT made sense for him at the time. If you look at this rationally: the difference in cost between FC and TPFT was about 1500 quid. The cost of replacing the car will be maybe 3000 quid, so as long as you don't have...

    200 vs Mini JCW

I could be wrong, but I think they're actually just single pots made to look like Brembo-style 4 pots. Am I right? I had an R53 before the clios and it was better built than the 182, but not as well put together as the 200 in my opinion.

    200 vs Mini JCW

I owned an Original JCW 210 (supercharged version). For sure there were good points and bad. Let's start with good: The steering was quick, even faster than the Clio 200, yet not frisky or twitchy like the Clio can be at high speeds. The front end had a beautiful pointiness about it on...

    Clio 200 Vs Trophy

I see this thread has caused a bit of a stir, to be expected I guess. Roystinho How can you make any meaningful judgement about how a car handles based on a passenger ride? Clio 200 Vs Trophy

I have roof rails and ski racks on my 200 at the moment so can't really give a fair estimate on fuel consumption. I guess it's using about 10% more fuel than the 182 though. Looks divide opinion but in the metal I think they look awesome.

    Clio 200 Vs Trophy

I wouldn't say the Mk3 is too big to be a hatchback, but it's certainly a fair bit bigger than a Mk2. I don't really notice it when driving it, but whenever I park I'm reminded that it's quite a bit wider than my old Trophy!
