no need to tape them if they were a decent heavy duty m/f connector and shrouded properly, not that im familar with such for a car battery tho

if you going to the trouble of crimping terminals then might as well use a male / female shrouded type removing the need for bolts and insulating with tape == bit pikey

10 bhp is from exhaust manifold AND much better cat on the 182. 172 Vs 182 Manifold is not straight forward, more torque Vs more BHP ? Perhaps the clio is in need of more top end poke hence why 4-2-1 is better. from mem FF182 is (almost) identical to 172FF the 182cup had wider track and stiffer...

I think it could be done in a day but would be a full days work (bout 3 hours then knowing most mechanics ;) ) but i doubt many garages would gaurantee same day. I spoke to nick hill who deffo said 2 days not to mention £500 as had air con ! Will get car back later so find out m8 and let you know.

daft q but u are aware it takes most garages more than a day todo so a trip to the south coast is a bit more involved. Im having mine done at the moment but by my uncle and i'll ask his 'normal rate' if u want as its not a massive trip for you (other side of derby)
