Gutting! You must of felt powerless. & she got tea out of it! Hope she said thank you. Hope it all gets sorted for you
Could probably think of a name for the fashion show she was trotting off to but I'll leave that for someone else
Yes, It's been on for about 5 months now without problem. Just got some silcon and foam over it to make sure initially. Tis fine though. Like croc says it's fairly pony metal but doesn't need to be bent much. At least not on the Ph1, not sure if theres any differences. Speak to K-tec otherwise...
tbh Physx is a huge marketing gimmic. It's poorly compiled and heavily cpu dependant. Although it looks the nuts in Batman AA. Hardly worth having an extra card in your machine though, like
8800GT is still pretty pokey but it shows it's age anything over 1600x1200. The 5700s are good bang for buck.
Nvidia's Fermi is due at the end of March
Edit: Misread, 9800GT for Physx is the sweet spot tbh
Best bang for buck at the moment would be the Sapphire 2GB 4870 VaporX
Ideally need a cup alternator but all that's different is the outer plastic casing iirc? K-tec managed to modify a standard F4R alternator for my removal
You save about 7-8kg I think (With aircon removal)
You can be very very lazy with the SC...it makes A LOT of power low down compared to a standard or even throttle bodied clio.
Doesn't mean ITBs are bad on the road!
If you're going to launch everywhere then thats different lol. With any extra power you run such risks
Second hand boxes can be picked up cheap though frankly, and if you're serious about doing it it's not too hard to keep one aside worst case senario.
Driven well I can't see it being an issue
open to arguement but the drive on the road for both isn't "pointless" as some have said. It's usuable on both and I'd happily drive either everyday. ITBS are a bit more of a raw experience but the drive is brilliant and has made the car more fun as a daily runner and in no way negative.
Oh and...
