no, thats before labour and vat. just save your money and wait for a while get a bigger engine before you go wasting money on engine mods... how old are you 18? Personally i'd say get a set of coilovers and take any races to a back road! I beat a std 172 on a backroad in my coilovered 1.6...

omg rookie... u realise the whole front end of your car will be different.. U gotta swap engine gearbox driveshafts hubs suspension brakes wheel bearings radiator ecu uch wiring loom into dash etc! it aint easy or cheap, i'm sure matt_black does a kit for around the £1500 mark

TB's... do you think tb's on a 1.6 16v clio would be worth it or u aswell doing 172 conversion? cos u could get tb's use larger injectors (maybe 2.0l ones) fire some 50 shot in.. that woud be fun! ;) (while it lasted)

Sounds like Driveshaft problems mate... squeaks when slowing down and knocks on full lock. (usually worse in reverse)

i know where u can get a de-cat for £70+20p&p, but i'm not letting on yet as i might buy it! ;)

you'll need to look at the speedo drive too, shouldn't be too much of a problem if your swapping the whole loom.. if not beware the cups gearboxes have mechanical drive and the non cups are magnetic pulses i think...
