Dont know about the Cup, but I had my mk1 172 lowered today and my whole body is now aching from the harshness of the ride. Worth it though.
LOL thats hardcore!
Dont forget to add all the on the road costs (they even charge for a PDI on brand new cars!) When I was looking for mine I rung them but was totally unimpressed with all the things they add on and their attitude)
Try car people in wakefield, much more straightforward and honest pricing!
Basically what the guy was saying was that I didnt need to know what work they did, just that its good cos a magazine said so and theres a 2 month waiting list (yeah right) so it must be good.
LAD for me are very definately on the list of dodgy outfits in the tuning game that seem for some...
A few things have cropped up about LAD an their "optimistic" power gains. I emailed them about their "200" conversion for the cup.
Heres a few extracts from emails that got sent to and fro. If you cant be assed to read it all the basic point is that LAD will NOT tell you exactly what work is...
the 172 is a very desirable model. Proper limited edition. Ive only ever seen 1 and that was at a cliosport meet. Should help with the resale value too.
Just wondered if anyone has had one done and how much it was? I know someones had a cup with two pipes cut into the bumper. Thats the sort of thing Im wanting. Cant seem to find a website for powerflow either!
30 mpg and 0-60 in 7 seconds is nothing short of amazing all round performance.
Sad as it might sound I actually chose my car by looking down all the performance stats in the back of top gear magazine! There just nothing to touch it for the money.
Mines got 6.5k on now and it just keeps...
nah reno quality is just AWFUL. My new 172 was delivered with basic stuff like trim missing. The engine doesnt tick over properly, it has about 3 seperate ratttles, bad suspesion and wierd feedback from the cluth when you reverse it.
Thats the first 6 months! If it wasnt such a fantastic car...
6.5 k
Booking into reno for suspect suspension (possible knackered damper)
Clicking noise coming up through the clutch when reversing
Still running lumpily
This will be the third time in!
yeah the main advantage of getting older is that you can get the insurance on top motors. If I were you m8 I would sell the valver........to get an EVO!!
Quote: Having said that getting a good quote is 50% luck, and 50% your attitude, by that I mean its the way you come across on the phone, theres always a way to get a cheap quote, just remain polite and professional and make sure they know you want to do business and theyll be more willing to...

I somehow doubt an induction kit will make your car seem like a Porsche..and why a 911 imparticular? Also..a Ferrari?! Get real..that sound is distinctive because of the firing order..something the Renault doesnt share..especially as it...
Would be very intrested if I didnt have the 172. With the spangly new interior bits and groovy zorst/power increase its gonna be a top if not THE top player in the clio/ibiza/cupra/civic type market.
Im personally gonna keep the 172 for a couple of years then get a V6 or might go turbo and...
