I used to, on a 35mm drop and 215/35/18 rubber. Just need about half an inch cut out of the wings all the way round the arch, and a few bits taken out of the metalwork on the inner wing. Obviously no sh*t guards at all, put them in the bin. The back has plenty of clearance once the sh*tguards...
Alcantara *is* expensive. Thats why it seems expensive! Find a local retrimming place and theyll source some for you. I know theres always a stall at the Donny shows where theyve got huge bolts of alcantara in every colour, something like £15 a metre I think though.
LOL I do! Or at least Im going to now. So whats gonna be the accepted Cliosport way of calculating weight. I know of at least two different kinds of kerb weight. Are we talking about the car in driving condition with a full tank of petrol? Or empty? With or without driver?
night icon has got some anthracite Super L in 17" if you want them? Red writing. And yes it was the F1 Cups that had the yellow writing and yellow centre cap, but you can get them off the distributors if you ask nicely.
LOL Ben youre right. And Chris Im sure you didnt quite say the same thing...especially about the Clio being for pensioners...ROFL considering the 19 is a right grandads old family car, plenty of room for the kids and a couple of picnic hampers in the boot!:p
Anyway you all forgot the best use...
Yeah fogs are for losers! Its like the three stages of modifications. Most people start off driving an old sh*tter that doesnt have foglights, and you want them badly. Then you get a motor with fogs and think theyre the nuts until you get fed up with people flashing you cos you drive around with...
Too bad mate! Sorry to hear that but you shouldnt have said anything. You got a right to silence mate just like anyone else. If he could have proved it, then you should have let him have his day in court. Essex Police tried to stitch me up for a similar kind of thing down on the 127 in Leigh, I...

Well I wouldnt worry too much about 10 or 20 bhp differences here or there between your valver and others John. Different roads run different readings, theres no way to compare them. If you want to fiddle with the timng though, your torque seems to be peaking way too high in the revs. 4500-5000...
Drag for sure. Youve put on a kit you like the look of which is fair enough, but if you imagine the frontal view of your Clio before and after you should be able to see what I mean. Before, theres nothing to stop the air flowing smoothly over the roof and off the tailgate, and the bumper would...
Yes the F7R was only a 2.0. The F7 is the engine family and the R refers to 2.0 capacity. Following this naming, the 172 engine is an F4R - one of the F4 family of multivalve engines and its a 2.0. P refers to 1.8 hence the 1.8 16v was F7P.
LOL dont know about the exact power but its enough! Probably round the 240/250bhp mark and the same in lb/ft of torque.
Roamers will be the daddy 172 in UK I think once its done.
Yeah its lonely at the top! But I personally cant wait to see what this TB beast is gonna be like - John, make sure you leave the filters off so I can see those 4 bad boy throttle plates going when you rev it!
But theres nothing wrong with wanting a real one!:p I was considering it a little while back when I was toying with the idea of reskinning the roof minus the bloody sunroof, but I still want overhead ventilation. I would have done it cos a tasty carbon scoop out of the DT catalogue was about...
Quality! So whats the spec of the Ragnotti Ed? Is it exactly the same as the Cup? And is there any real link with Ragnotti except that he used to drive for Renault? eg. Did they give him one for free so hed endorse it?
hehe good work John. You couldnt resist the way of Williams then mate! I thought at first youd got rid of the 172 in the middle of your project. Is that gonna be ready for York?
Oh btw....ello John got a new motor?
I had to say it.:D
Well i understand K Tec have something in the works, I dont know what though. My local gaff is BB Tuning and their turbo Clios been out on the roads for the last year. Mine was the first high boost car out once they started building them for customers. Its in the paint shop at the moment...
