LOL yeah but look at Saxo Sports Club - none of their cars even do over a hundred!
Anyway, any car is capable of being thrashed whatever the size of the engine - thats whats important!
Bloody hell I disappear for a few days and look what happened...:o
Members - DONT worry about what order the Clios are going in! Thats what Cliosport admin staff are for - so you dont need to fuss about how to run a show stand!:) All we ask is that you turn up on time and leave everything else...
LOL I thought everyone had forgotten about my little accident on the rollers!:(
It was running 100 jets no problem on a progressive controller and was a lot quicker than normal. Just that the rollers were the sort that increase the load to get a reading rather than letting the car spin them...
Put the proper airbox back on if hes still got it and that should make a noticeable difference. The longer (AFAIK) 19 box wont do the lump any favours if outright acceleration is what youre after. Try a top speed run and if you are getting a higher indicated speed than before then thats down to...
Dont do it. Its as bad as putting a sunstrip on the windscreen. Generally the more stickers you have on your car the more sh*t your car is. The less stickers you have the cooler you are. As Tomboy says, all you need is Cliosport and thats it. Its like whenever you see those crazy pictures of...
The Ring is the best track in the world. Sometime either this year or next year well try and organise a Ring-only trip. Brands Hatch or any normal racing circuit pales into insignificance compared to it.
Theyre a bunch of lazy arseholes. Just tell them the situation and to drop the case immediately or prove in court that it was you driving and that it was your vehicle. Which they cant do.
Morettes wont fit the phase 3 headlights unless you remodel the front end. I should imagine its a little more than just changing the bonnet over. Probably the wings, bumper and the mounting points behind!
LOL thats quality! Why did no-one think of that before? Or maybe they thought it and didnt do it? Anyway glad to hear that its working. All you need now is one of the headlamp air ducts that the Clio Cup racers use.
ok ok Im here! Ive been a bit quiet lately cos Ive got a lot going on at the moment, moving house, finding another job in a new area, living in Suffolk during the week and Essex at the weekend. Then on top of that I got my Clio back from BB after fixing a couple of weak points of the car as it...
for 750 sheets its worth having and it seems youre prepared for the worst. Just as well really cos tatty valvers are a money pit seriously. Nothing particularly bad about them mechanically compared to other cars, just that working on them is a nightmare because a lot of otherwise simple engine...
malcup - if youve got a Willy 1 that was numbered 416 and had a sunroof its more likely you had some weird cut-n-shut rather than that everyone else doesnt know Willys! :D
Firstly sunroofs were not even an option on Willy 1 and 2 for the deliberate reason to keep weight down slightly - it...
Depends what you want really. If you want the ultimate hot hatch then it has to be a Williams. No competition.
If you want something fast with all the toys thatll keep up with the ever increasing pace of modern day hot cars then its the 172.
From what I hear on here, modern day Renaults are...
Well Ive mail ordered bits from K-Tec before, no problems really. But BB is the main place I use for everything, its local to me and I know them there so thats why I use it. In fact I wouldnt trust anyone else to work on my car except myself.
I dont know about K-Tecs turbo conversion or even...
Another thing to think about is; what was the purpose of the original Maxi vent on the nearside corner of the bonnet, basically just above the rear of the headlight/engine fusebox (in a standard car).
It wasnt for induction cooling AFAIK because on the Maxi the induction was a sealed system...
Well I just louvred my bonnet just above the inlet manifold and rear of the radiator. According to my readings it has lowered the charge temp noticeably. Ill do some more extended readings over different conditions once its back on the road again. However the inlet manifold is a lot colder now...
140 mph on the clock in Germany on the Cliosport tour this year. Because of my 17" wheels and longer gearbox, it actually equates to a genuine (confirmed by GPS) speed of 145mph. ANyone who got the tour video on CD has got footage of it with Jas shooting the video from the passenger seat. LOL...
LOL well maybe the nitrous thing was a mistake, but what was I gonna do? I was sitting there in the line at Santa Pod, the bottle was stone cold and then engine was warm, I put two and two together...it made sense at the time!
