lmao @ the 6x9's quote! what a half wit!
id avoid comps in the rear whoever wants to put them in. they will only drag the sound back behind you.
you want the sound to be in your ears, not someone inthe back seat! just stick a set of coaxials in there running from the HU. that will be more...
the picture you posted on the struts is correct mate, by that i mean all the rubber parts and brass colars are on the right way :)
here's a pic to help you along:
The way you have the parts is correct. slot them into the hole and bolt them to the bottom, tighten up the top bolt n your...
In such a small car you really dont need rear speakers. BUT if you really wanted to add a bit of rear fill then keep your components in the doors amped up as normal.
Buy a simple set of coaxials that run of the headunit. That would be ideal.
Here's my setup:
Front:
Pioneer Headunit...
Hi all, just in need of a quick couple of measurements, only need them to be rough dimensions really. just so i can get an idea of what size im working with.
Im building a sound system and have a picture of my empty boot but need some dimensions :)
I need the height of the 172 boot. floor to...
its a pretty simple job!
just start with the top 21mm. keep the car on the floor and attempt to undo that first. if your struggling with it then you may have to go get other tools etc.
21mm cranked spanner and 6mm allen key is perfect.
if you have got a cranked spanner then a 21mm SPARK...
Hi mate, ive just lfitted mine.
1. you wont need spring compressors at all. rears will just pull out of the seats once the rear shocks are off. very easy. You will have to remove the lower rubber seat. thats is not used. keep the top one though.
2. the fronts, use a 21mm Spark plug socket...
no difference in the cup dampers i believe. the springs are the difference!
although I wouldnt quote me on this, there maybe a very good chance i know nothing!
have a little think about MOT's too. if your handy with the spanners then why not, you can always drop it on n off for MOT's.
If not then your gonna have a trip to the garage every time.
A decat will add about 2-5bhp realistically. Think about where your going with the car. Will it be a case...
I cant comment on the the other brands of coilovers but i have FK highsport coilovers on my car, 172 FF, they ride well, quite stiff (but imo not too bad) good fitment, very easy to adjust etc
great price on them from rimstyle at £475 delivered.
My opinion on the more expensive stuff is...
Hi all, just been browsing the Ktec website, as you do! spotted these scan guages.
Seems like a useful tool if you use you car on track, a good way to monitor rpm, voltage, water temp, mpg, speed, tp, ignition timing, map.
although the standard clocks do a lot of the above! does anyone use...
oz_clio. Yes it was mate, sadly the car was sold a few weeks after the pictures were taken. so a few months back now.
cheers for the comments!
no new updates yet, nothing in the pipe line either :(
looks alright on there, although would look better with a non sun roof skin fitted.
good thing about the clio i supppose! did any of them have sun roofs?
Never heard of him or been on that forum. any pictures of his car, sounds like he's gone for a similar theme!
cheers for the comments!
seems strange that this forum doesnt have the edit tool, would be much easier to keep track of project threads. oh well.
yeah i managed to do that, but i didnt want it silly low! im happy with the above, may go a little more when i have more time to adjust it.
anothr 5mm maybe
UPDATE
Had a day off with the car today and all my parts arrived at once! Coilovers came at 9am, went n picked up my carbon plates from Bic's mate Ben at Meguairs and then fitted the exhaust i made yesterday :)
So the pictures...firstly the new section of exhaust. This is a Ktec stealth cat back...
