Just seemed a bit brash thats all.
Some people dont have youre mechanical knowledge or logic for cars! So they come here to ask people like you who will recognise the problem.
Im just in a bit of a silly mood today!
I had a 150 mile MR2 when they were new out, I treated it so nicely, gave it back two days later with 800 miles on it, all above 5000 revs...

I have an oil temp gauge on my RSi, a much needed tool. Takes the beast 20 mins to reach 60 degrees if I keep it uder 3000 revs at normal driving. Then I will take it to about 4,500 until I feel its ready!
I sprayed the filter in WD40 and slid it out. Before sliding it out I loosen the lines on the filter. You have to squeeze then on two sides and they release.
Then I slid the filter right out and pulled the lines off. Not much petrol comes out. I just slid the new filter part way in and pushed...

I have changed the cap and arm and the fuel filter and the difference is unreal. I have also done the Cambelt. Next is some new leads, plugs and an air filter and then I should be laughing.

I can recommend Toy (Redvalver). Helped me change my cambelt. Sounds to me like yours probably snapped due to being fitted too tight, if it only had 10,000 miles on it?
