I've just ordered a set of forge silicone coolant hoses and bomber said he could do a group buy on them. Oh well, they should come soon so I can get on with filling the car up with fluid.
I have also started making my brake lines and have ordered a load of bits to finish the car off :)
My list was huge until recently and I've had some really productive days. You just need a few days like that and you'll feel better. When you out the subframe on it's all up hill from there :)
Oh hope it gets sorted. Possibly speak to rs fab about it and see what they could do!
Surly there's lots more to do on the car. When I get fed up with one thing I take a break and do something :) which is why I havnt finished my loom :(
Right so I have a new master cylinder, new brake fluid resiviour and completely new brake lines. So the whole system will be dry. How would you recommend bleeding the system?
Would I try bleeding one brake at a time making sure the resiviour is allways full of brake fluid.
Any thoughts...
UPDATE:
Had Friday off work and decided to do a little bit of work on the car as the weather was nice :)
So first job was to find a place to mount my 13 row Mocal Oil cooler. after trying to place it in lots of areas of the slam pannle i decided to place it here...
Still gets air flow...
My shorter radiator is from www.adrad.co.uk
The rad is part number SE310 and its a VOLKSWAGEN POLO MK4 1.4 RADIATOR. which cost £40.07 posted to my door, could be slightly more due to the VAT increase!
Excelent result mate :)
Could do with a shorter radiator though, looks very close to the filter, and the engine seems to move quite a bit. Are you running completly standard engine mounts?
Bonnet looks good, never seen those wheels before. I assume your not using the 25mm spacers now? I personally wouldn't reshell it now. If you bin it at a trackday the. Maybe reshel it if it's bent! Have fun at the trackday tho mate
Sorry guys the link i had no longer works and i cant find the paperwork for the rad. I think it was actually a Seat rad, probably the same as the polo. this is the website i got the rad from.

Tony can you remember which rad we both have?
The rad is from a VW polo. I can find you the link when I get home. Only cost £40 posted to my door. It's a little longer but loads shorter so it spot on but needs some little brackets making but pretty simple
Those brake fixings look mint. Wish I had done that now but I'm just doing kunfer pipe (think it's called that).
Do you know how much brake fluid the 172 cup system will take? I need to order some dot 5 and am not sure how much to order
Re: Iceberg 172 Cup Project
Nice leads ;)
I found that the cam cover never really looks clean even after its been degreased fully. It sort of gets stained by the cr"p on it. So a quick spray of paint will make it look a million times neater.
